Yeah, even the teams he played on at Tulane were below .500. Between college and the league he only had 5 seasons playing for teams at .500 or better in 14 years.

Still beats Joe Thomas

They have the same amount of seasons above .500 if you include both college and pro. Forte's 5 came as a professional. Thomas's 5 includes 4 in college and 1 as a pro, 2007, his rookie year.

It's unfortunate that these 2 fantastic players had to endure so many seasons of team failure because of lack of quality in the organizations they were part of.

hey at least he got to be a bear

its a shame they never put him in a better situation. in his early years chicago had no WRs and the OL was atrocious, and when they finally assembled better talent around him the D fell apart in the trestman years...

Lets hope for thomas that Dorsey can make the browns a winning team. He has the capspace and the picks for it

I don't know if Thomas has enough time left to be a part of the turnaround if Cleveland experiences one. They're horrifyingly dysfunctional. He's already expressed that he's experiencing memory loss and after tearing his triceps this past season, both his consecutive snaps streak (10,000+) and consecutive pro bowl streak (10 seasons) were broken. He's probably the most consistently great non-QB in the NFL over his career.

An Even greater achievement when you realize the Top 3 OT taken the year after was Jake Long and then Jason Smith on 2009.

I don't think most NFL fans can recognize the latter, he got to play for the Rams, when they were competing for the title of most dysfunctional franchise with the Bucs and Raiders. None could beat the Browns though

Jarvis Landry (for 2018 4th and 2019 7th round pick) Tyrod Taylor (2018 3th round pick) and Damarious Randall (for Deshone Kizer and they will swap picks in 4th and 5th round) all traded to the Browns

Happy to see Tyrod Taylor on a team giving him trust. This guy never was à problem for the Bills but somehow they never showed him confidence. Plus after 3 years of Rex Ryan & McDermott hé will be coached by Hue Jackson & Todd Haley, and after all the struggles thé browns had with young QBs, Taylor is having some job sécurity too, with Saquon Barquley, Jarvis Landry, Njoku and this O-Line, this could be an interesting O.

Dont forget a full season with (a sober) Josh Gordon.

Tyrod Taylor is not the answer at all. He will never lead a team to a Superbow. He is a stopgap, if the Browns do t take a QB in the first still, they will be in the same boat. He also doesn't fit Jacksons scheme.

As for Landry this I like he gives the Browns a reliable productive chain mover in the slot.
