I am not sure. I would like to switch it on for all games. But it depends on a few more more tests I plan to do this and next weekend.

Just for a counter-test, I was "killing" SGxWR formations performance. Give it a try. If you do, you should see standard performance at the begin of a game, but steep huge drops of performance with each single occurance of such formations...this is not meant to be for productive use, but I need this test the receive a feeling for the "other edge" of the balancing job

Pete, is there a variation in penalty just for similar formations or does it increase in specific plays. Is there the facility to incorporate this?

I feel like calling a SG4 all game shouldn't cause a huge penalty if there is a variation in run pass and targets. You can after all run a massive and highly varied playbook from one formation, every NFL team could call an entirely different game never running the same play twice from one formation for example.

Repeated calling the same specifics for example Run right flank should draw a bigger penalty as a Defence has a much greater insight into the play here.

Without going into detail, our thoughts are kind of similar...

Good to see!

I hope the unmentioned detail is a thought that flank ONLY playbooks also being a lopsided tactic.

I am quite sure I mentioned it already: lopsided detection takes formations, playsides and playtypes into account...

NICE!

The middle is attacked to open up the flanks.

The flanks are attacked to soften the middle.

Middle range and the occasional deep passes are attempted to relax pressure at LOS.

Love to see RZA be a good sim of the real stuff!

Thank you pete!

The lopsided tactics detection takes all this into account since seasons. I was just missing kind of a preset to balance basic formations against each other. I added this for the friendly engine and testing it right now.

I guess the majority here things "Balancing" is a single task, kind of a slider you push right or left and that's it. It is not...

By playside does this look at what happens on the field or playbook. By that mean would 1/3 left, 1/3 right and 1/3 middle be viewed differently for a playbook that has every rule set for "All Directions" to one that gets this % with specific "Left Flank", "Right Flank" and "Middle" rules?
If that makes sense?

In my last scrimmage game my first line in the defensive playbook said 533 against Pass and Goaline D against Run in ANY case .... after a few plays, mostly pass, the defense switch from 533 to 335 and stay like that all game......
WHY?....it`s a bug?...the defense can choose his own formation in the new engine?....i really hope we not gonna change to a broken/silly engine just because some people start crying!!!
