Which is the one thing I want to prevent above all else when playing D. anyone tested out 317 in this engine version? A certain ex-member was a fan, but I was never really sure if he meant it or was trying to give other players a bad strategy... If you have a really good MLB with slippery and/or heavyweight traits that you can blitz to put pressure on the QB, it might give good results if you are sure it's going to be a pass play. |

I just lost due to the shotgun again despite using my match of the year. Pete was supposed to have sorted this and clearly hasn't. Re shotgun, you did sack him 8 times when he used the shotgun so that is 21% of his shotgun plays so I would say that that is a very successful pass rush. He won the game on an pick six as well. So all in all I think he didn't benefit so much from shotgun as to cause the win. I understand it's hard to take when using MOTY but analyse and adjust I would say. Your run game wasn't great and having 50% of your plays being a run stifled your offence I would say. I just don't think the 335 is a great matchup against the SG. If we look at mechanics its not great at stopping the run and it adds an extra safety into the mix when in game safety don't seem to match up often in coverage being spare men. the 335 has one MLB 2 OLB and 2 CB. So outside passes go to CB inside to LB. Plus SF often arent as good players as CB or OLB who are more than adequate as pass defenders. Honest I am I the process of ditching the 335 against the SG i don't think it offers anything the 344 doesn't except weakening the central field. I would take an extra MLB over SF in a heartbeat with the current mechanics. But the problem I've got is the 344 is just completely ineffective to. My complaint to Pete would be the opposite. How did your slow LB's get 8 sacks on my QB who has 52.08 speed and was also in a shotgun with a FB who has 5 star experience and blocking of 46. Before the last minute of the game this would have been one of those games that I beat you in time of position and yards and was going to lose on the score board. |

Before the last minute of the game this would have been one of those games that I beat you in time of position and yards and was going to lose on the score board. Firstly the FB blocking is irrelevant in sacks as you only get a SG sack when the FB engages the DE who broke through. The FB blocks him and the LB is free. Secondly the QB speed should never be the key factor in sacks in truth. The OL is the most important factor imo. if the QB speed effect on sacks has been nerfed then good. Int, Vis footwork and Agi stats should be a greater influence on sacks as in real life the QB who can spot the pressure and has the quickness and footwork to adjust and move avoids the sack not the guy who can simply burn a blazing 40 yard dash. In reality the speed of the QB has little effect because the pressure is coming at speed and a QB is set in a stance which isn't exactly conducive to exploding away into top gear. You don't exactly see QB avoiding sacks because he outrun the Blitzer. The implications of the new engine are just becoming apparent. Last edited on 2018-05-13 08:20:44 by oakbark |

The SG4 should really struggle against the 416 imo 4 man front against the DL a free MLB, CB on each receiver and 2 spare safeties. The problem with the engine is that you need the MLB to blitz and bring pressure which means if your DL don't get the FB on a run play its goodnight Vienna. |

Strange games lately. My dad says the game engine is weird. I don't know. If so I'm gonna leave soon.
