I delete comments in a thread that was created with the warning I would delete all comments not being in a certain format. If you call me TOSSER again, I call your team a bot team - so challenge accepted?

Just look at MY team. I've had a very rough start with a squad that costs me 6mill per week!!

It's a brave new world out there and we all need to re-learn the a basics. I like it actually even though my team seems to be suffering from it. It really helps the league be very competitive and it means I will have no longer easy wins where I don't have to game plan anymore.

Well you always wanted teams who use SG all game to be hit harder and they have anyone who uses tactics so as not to get a thumbs up seems to be suffering.

And yes I know there is more to it than that but a good base point for new engine seems to be get variety then work out from there.

I am seeing some indication of good numbers from little used formations as well. May be a starting point.

I am not buying the skill ratings have no bearing on outcome line. That's just from a couple of vocals butthurt because a team rated lower than them (a whole 2 points in one case) could not possibly win.

I think the game engine is ok. However, people should be able to run whatever they like without penalty. I've been using lots of formations and the outcome is still the same for the most part against good teams. This game has limited depth in my opinion. Lots wrong with it. 1) playbooks, 2) development of players is linear, 3) injuries, 4) oddities like no fumbles on punts/kickoffs. It is what it is. I'm just not sure it is doing it for me anymore.

I've not tried other american football management games but I've heard many times RZA is by far the best.

In terms of simulating american football, there are so many factors to consider around every play, it's a very hard task to simulate. RZA overall does a very good job considering it is being developed by one guy.

You should try front office football. I've only played it a little bit with my dad in the past it's a pc-based game but has a huge community.

I got that and that is great BUT it's only single player right? Like Football Manager for soccer. I like both the extra edge humans bring and the interaction

I play FOF8 mostly in Multiplayer, and I really love it, in fact I am a Commissioner of one of the leagues out there. Shoot me a PM if you want more info
