Any chance this engine can replace the current engine in the league matches straight away or are you waiting for the new season Pete? It has to wait for season rollover, I do never switch engine mid season, except for really harsh bugs. |

Landers (MLB) returns the ball, missed tackle by Shane Libby (TE/R), this was a 28 yards interception return touchdown (3-4-4 vs. Pro set) more That's 7 Ints, 7 TDs, and 414 yards of returns by MLB1. That's 5 Ints, 4 TDs, and 160 yards of returns by MLB2. All defenders combined, 18 Ints, 17 DefTDs. I think we could consider this the "worst case scenario" as my opponent looks to have thrown Pro Set - All directions - Medium distance, for the entire game. Still I wouldn't exactly expect results this loopy from a 67% team playing a 71% team? Seems like TD returns might still be a bit too high in engine v4.46, or perhaps just an example of what happens when the play selection is 100% the same formation/distance and reaches maximum "thumbs down" territory? *edit - that was also my backup defenders ... just in case someone looks at my current %'s and wonders, for that game it was 71%* Last edited on 2018-08-25 21:10:55 by Gambler75 |

He could have called "Punt all game long" and it would have been the same... At the end of the day such an engine is a pile of math. If X > Y do this or that. Now, if X is ALWAYS greater than Y because the range of the involved RNG was consumed by too many bad decisions...what should such an engine do... |

After all the changes does it still make sense to train carrying for a defense player ? I always did to benefit from fumble or interception returns thinking it made a difference. Now I am not so sure any more.

I won't answer the question directly, but would like to write about a similar situation.
You have 2 QBs, one having tackling, another one missing tackling. The guys throws an interception...who has the higher chance of tackling the interceptor before this sucker could turn the interception into a score? Yes, it makes sense to have additional skills on the training plan... |

About your example, my QBs throw no interceptions. Never. Ever. So I have no idea what you are saying.
Just kidding. Thank you ! |
