As brief as I possibly can be. I have played RZA since season seven. This equates to about five years, mostly being a supporter.

I am perplexed by the idea of being "stuck" in a league; more specifically, I have been in league Dragons, and after the past six seasons, I finally have earned a winning record. My latest PR may be more information as to what I have done with my team all of this time.

So my suggestion is that if a player of RZA is not content with being in the league they are in, they should be able to switch to another league. Whether or not a good idea for the team's sake, but rather for an owners opportunity to perhaps be in another league.

I am in league Dragons. Perhaps I would like to join league Fire, or league Sea Devils, or league Monarch etc. Perhaps I am for whatever reason, not satisfied in being in the league that I am in. Yet I am confined forever to be in that league no matter what?

Why permanently confine a team to one, and only one league? In doing so, this could cause owners to abandon playing any longer in only one league with predictable results should they remain in league and summarily and possibly abandoning the game entirely?

I expect to get negative responses, and of this I am not surprised.

I actually like this idea. While not looking to switch leagues myself, I think it would be beneficial if some of the Admirals and Dragons switched to other regions. Fire is facing some desperate times. We lost four teams that had been with us for over a year including one of the oldest franchises in our region and have five 1.1 bots this season. We currently only have six human 2.x teams, and half of them are less than a week old.

While I doubt this will happen, I would like for there to be a period at the end of the season in which teams indicate if they would like to change regions. If it is a 2.x team, they can pick another 2.x league. If it is a 1.1 team, they can pick another 1.1 team that has a bot vacancy or replace another team that has indicated it wants to switch as well. I do not think a 1.1 team should be allowed to switch to another region's 2.x league though.

I also think that the bot flush should be suspended for the time being. As I mentioned above, we could have three teams that will be less than a month old being promoted to 1.1 next season. They will struggle and possibly quit as a result whereas getting to spend a full season in 2.x would give them some more time to figure out this game some.

Big supporter of this idea, but very sure its been recommended and swiped aside before. But, if ever put to the vote, would get a from me.

To make it happen i think you'll need to come up with a way of doing it that wouldn't mean loads more work for Pete at season rollover.

It is not about how to make it. In RZC we have this since a few seasons.

The issue is much more how to limit it. There are some basic, easy to understand limits...

1.) One cannot switch regions during season. So only during the draft week...closing deadline at Wednesday 23:59

2.) Teams to play Elite the coming season cannot change

3.) You can only switch regions by chosing a bot team of your desired region - no human for human region switch

But: can D1 team switch regions? If so, we would have a bot in that D1 league the human controlled team came from. Bad. Conclusion: Only teams in the lowest league level can switch regions.

If we do this, we cause "tanking" and unsportsmenlike play of the game just to relegate.

To me this sounds like I should not do this in RZA.

what about if managers, during the close season only, so not subject to any promotion or relegation, agree to directly exchange places with each other, as long as :

The are in different leagues (Admirals, Dragons, Fire etc)

and

They are in the same division (1.1 for eg)

Both managers must agree, via email to pete or on a specific forum thread and be aware of implications - game times etc?

Does that have any mileage?

Is there a possible way of cheating...so manager A with team B exchanges positions with manager A, team C?

only you know that....I was under the impression that no manager can manage or control two teams.....but it seems that is not the case.

However :

1) if these two teams did try this, you could reject it, knowing there is a link

and

2) if they did, of what benefit would it give them? its still swapping like for like?

i would also argue that the vast majority for whom it could work very nicely should not be hampered by the very few who could look to abuse it.

More automatism, not bureaucratism

Add a Yes/No check box "Want to change region at the end of the season?" into the players account settings page.
Pls notice: There is no choice of a desired league.

At season rollover everyone who ticked the box gets mixed up randomly into another region (same division of course). The random effect should also cause that one could get mixed back into the same region as before. shit should happen.
