Hence my "No" to the question.

I could see the option possible only if the team would relegate to a lower legue - such as going from 1.1 to 2.1 or 2.2.

Secondly, the option of having a second team could be put to the table. Rules could be open announcement (aside from noting Pete a notion could be on teampage). Teams cannot be in same league nor trade with eachother. Only 1 team can reach Elite level at a time.

Having a second team is already à possibility, if both teams are not within thé same region and without any player transfer between these teams.

So it would go like this:
-go to settings page and from dropdown list, s e l e c t region you wish to switch to at the end of the season (default is to not switch)
-promoted/relegated teams are processed
-system checks for each region's total human teams and adds the teams that want to move there
-96 minus that number is the number of free spots (I will call it X)
-take the top X teams wanting to transfer and add them to the 2.x pool, 1.1 teams are treated as priority over 2.x teams, use bot flush priority
-system checks for how many 1.1 spots are open because of bots
-promotes to fill those spots from 2.x teams and teams that transferred in using bot flush priority
-there may be more than 64 bot teams in 2.x now, so balance them between all regions

While I see where you are coming from this cannot work. It interferes with the season rollover which is a nogo. Therefore it cannot be a balanced swap between leagues. It has to be "user A requests league X, user B out of league X offers swap to origin of user A, A confirms, swap executed". Sorry, there is no other way possible.

Keep in mind, this happens AFTER the bot flush and relegation promotion.

The swap can only happen on equal league level teams, so a D1 will always go to another D1, a D2 will only go to another D2. Therefore, of some "yes sayers" like to turn their vote into "no", feel free

Yes, it was simplified. I want to learn if such an option, no matter how it works, could be useful. Hence the simplified poll.

Exchanging spots in different league levels causes some problems I cannot solve easily, therefore we have to stick with "exchange spots at same league level only".

It might be to late but i`m saying NO to this league transfer. This will destroy a big part of RZA charm. It did not help at all in RZC, why this will do any good in here? There is no need for this total mess at season rollover.
For those ``stuck`` in a league , better allow them to start over in any league they want with the same amount of money, the same stadium and a fresh new squad.

The intention in RZC was completely different. It was there to allow cleaning regions, and closing them afterwards. It worked as expected. Please keep this in mind.

I do not play RZC so don't know what you did there, could you please explain it and let us know if something similar would be possible in RZA or not?

Once Season rollover was finished, each manager receives a PM and a message at his pinboard, he/she could change regions.

In RZC we have only D1 leagues, no D2, no Elite. Therefore teams can only switch from D1 to D1 in another region. Teams can do so by selecting a bot in the desired league. If they confirm, the exchange of pots happens immediately. We close this "exchange league" function during the draft...so before the first gameday happens.

Thanks Pete. What about the closing regions thing? Were you able to reduce the number of regions in RZC?

No, this cannot work from a math ppoint of view. We just closed regions for registering teams in such a region. The region is still there.

I think it should be possible for teams in 2.x to change region with bots.
Otherwise the change region thing doesn't make sense.
