This idea can be very interresting. But would it be possible to define a rule of switching like "you can swap only in a region with less human team than currently in your region"?

That would tend to have better repartition of the teams.

In my league, we are only 2 human teams (the 3rd one with proabably go bot quickly). I really fear the second one decides to change league and I would be glad to see other players joining it.

Also will a promotee be able to swap league and go back to another 2.x league? Because if yes, I can see a new form of tanking by winning all the 2.x league games including PO and Bowl, make all the associated money, promote and the day after go to another 2.x league. You can do it many seasons in a row.
That would ensure nice draft picks every season (especialy if you pick leagues with few humans), great money (stadium + media center) and good moral to perform in the supercup.

Finally what is the downside on being able to swap region? I would not be shocked to have to do a major sacrifice to do it. We can consider a stadiul rebuilt, pay a fee (50 Millions like the max pledge of Media Center?) or losing the current roster.

To summerize, my suggestions would be:
- no swapping for every promoting or relegating team for 1 season.
- define a number of swapping per period (ex: 1 every 3 seasons maximum)
- swapping only toward league with less human players
- add a downside to swap (stadium reset, fee to pay, roster reset)

Losing the current roster...…

sounds legitimate.

I believe what I would still like the most would be a league system that does not frustrate as much as the current one.

Its fun to have our SeaDevil region but being in Elite I am out of it. My fourth or fifth time in Elite and I still don't know if our division is AC or NC and what direction. And I don't care about it either as I know I will just pass time there hoping to excel in SC and CoC.

The major problem is that each region only keeps two teams in Elite no matter what happens. I am patient enough but each time a new team makes it to Elite it won't take long and they lose interest and soon after they are gone.

I totally agree with your points above and also the annoyance is that when you go back to your original 1.1 league you don't go back to where you were. So this kills the rivalry and as you say there is no interest in which Elite league you belong to because either you or your opponents will soon be gone.

This is a manager game with a sports sim inside. If a manager loses fun in managing a team, or loses fun in facing competition, he/she loses interest in the game and will leave. This is OK for me. Sorry to say

But this proposal has come about because a manager made the suggestion
" that if a player of RZA is not content with being in the league they are in, they should be able to switch to another league. Whether or not a good idea for the team's sake, but rather for an owners opportunity to perhaps be in another league."

I am not against the proposal but if they are not content surely that means they have lost fun in managing a team, or facing competition. I just don't understand the difference in the two points of view being expressed about 1) changing league and 2) moving up and down to the Elite league.

I haven't read this whole thread so I apologize if already mentioned.

This would benifit a manager in financial trouble if at the end of a season he could drop into a league with a lot of bots, which would definitely aid his ability to recover. Which I do not plan on ever needing to utilize
