My team is turning out to be a piece of garbage based on the last two game engines. I just do not have the time or patience to make the type of playbook necessary to avoid the lopsided penalties. I also dislike creating playbooks, the system is so clunky and counter intuitive. I like to keep some randomness in there to allow for quick shifts in formations and tactics, but its tricky to balance this. I think the key to your problems was the over-reliance on the SG formations - Pete tweaked the game engine at the start of last season, and their dominance was heavily nerfed. Plus you had quite a few OOP players in your depth chart, which meant there were gaps that were exploitable (CB/SF for example). The OOP penalties mean that depth charts need to be somewhat more balanced now. I knew when I played you that if my team could be in touch at halftime we should prevail, as I was rotating fresh receivers against your tiring/oop secondary. (the playoff game went a bit wrong though and you killed us in the 1st half - my D didn't show up til halftime in that one) Good luck with the rebuild though! Thank you, I have been thinking about a rebuild since the end of last season. The building of the roster was always my favorite part of the game. I had IMO the ultimate team for the Season 27-29 game engine. I have some new ideas on some different player builds based on the new world order. I just need to take some time in the next 6-9 months to come up with a decent playbook. PS I can not believe there is no one bidding on my starting QB Duffy, he is around 52 speed, 50 intel. As Steve would say "another track star on your squad?" I am finding that high salaries really puts off bidders |

Tanking is when you have the talent to win but throw the games. On the TM issue yeah I am pushing a little bit. However nothing like when Cyril left the game a few seasons ago. He had his own TM thread going in Sea Devils PS. This will be my last post on this matter. Last edited on 2018-08-09 12:58:08 by spartans11 |

How do you think my bank balance got so big At that time I was trying to build a competitive Elite team around a strict salary cap (of 50% of the salary of the team at #100 in the top 100 salaries list). I was regularly making profits in excess of 100m per season... Last edited on 2018-08-09 23:21:45 by JonnyP |
