- Free Agents on TM during Off-Season only
in my opinion could not work because of the newcomers.
If a manager start to play RZA Sx in week1 he could not buy a free agent till the end of the season...

By this, every rotational event comes to an untime. One week too late and you missed the draft etc.

The Free-Agents-only thing could also be a mid-season event; for instance from week 6 to week 9 (2 weeks in RL), or both.

a) FA during off-season only
b) FA during mid-season only (for 2 weeks in RL)
c) FA during off-season and mid-season only

On low starting prices...

I do not really care about junior managers participating in the bidding process. I think it should not be a factor.

They have tons of money anyway, after the stadium is built. Thus they do not need low starting prices to enter a bidwar. Junior teams are in a much better position marketwise than established managers, as they have the income from the beginning and do not have the expenditure.

Is it really a good idea, that they are able to buy anyone that enables them to compete for EL participation within only some seasons?
Shouldn't they play and learn howto train players use PB and build a team?
Of course you may argue, that we should not limit the options, how they intend to play. Still, is this kind of jump start a good idea...?

On the other hand I understand Pete's point that it is important to avoid cheating.
We also need to realize, that we take away the decision of managers to determine the starting price of their properties.
I am still unsure that this trade-off is reasonable. A probable cheating vs. revoked right to decide the price for every manager.

On FA market...
If we want to move towards FA market, then we are not supposed to train for profit, and excess training slots are unnecessary.

The proposal was made with the intention to give junior manager full participation on TM, if you allow it (by choosig the lower starting price). If you dont like the min price, you can choose the max price, and nothing changes for you.

But, I let it be good; I dont see a future for this. To much protest, without solid backed-up arguments, against a thing that do no harm.

Translation: I do not care about n00bs, I would like to be able to set the starting price of players I sell lower in order to trick n00bs into buying players I otherwise cannot sell.

is the point of a free agent.. not that, if you have a few players on IR list. then needs must. As a NooB,jun Manager, the TM, is a way to improve { if you want too} your skills - or if your team needs, are low on money, FA, a way to support your team.. as for YA under18's, can you sign on a long term, Youth Contract, so as NOT to sell at under 40k.? or sign to 1st team as is.at 18.. What are you trying to work to? better training or better player to sell?

My worry about this is it could be used so experienced managers can get rid of players, without having to cut them and pay them any money, by selling them to less experienced managers who can't afford their wages.

I dont have these concerns, Jonny. New managers got told to watch out for their finances. And I think most of them know that. I mean, they found a franchise as a Owner/GM. Finances is first and last priority. But even if they got trapped by this, one must say: Better they have learned this lesson sooner than later.

Guys as a new team, I saw the forums, buy seats build stadium to buy better players staff ETC, moved from NooB to General Manager in a WEEK, 7 days.. so if you old top manager players- buy the better talent, then the new players of RZA, will be left, or LEAVE.. due to the wrong idea, I am in a bought a few players,TM- FA, But want to keep team I was given to improve, by YA and Draft.. also I must ask you to see { CoachCP} on Forum as I think , my HC has low 51CP, and I want to improve him as time rolls on.

How about a player that is unsold on the TM have an option of say putting him on 3-4 day waivers.

On waivers he is available to teams where the bidding begins at no cost. If he goes unclaimed on waivers he is automatically fired costing the seller the penalty.

If we would follow this proposal nothing changes. If the player sells for 5m, he was worth 5m, and that's it. If the player was sold for 500k, he was not worth 5m, this is OK as well.

I do not agree, that market selling price is determining above all. Note that market price reflects the value of products truly only if it operates perfectly.

I understand Pete, why you decided to fix the price automatically at a low level, but is it a good idea to sacrifice the owners right to determine initial selling price to avoid a probable cheating?

I simply do not get what would change. If you decide to call for 5 million, nobody would have bought him.

I now am a {Top Manager, after 24 days} and can buy high price players,if I have Cash, But find that some players are not worth a free agent fee, unless on HR Dept, and wage only. So if I sell or not , a player- should he be less on skills to reflect price, to make a sale? After all if you go to buy a tin of beans, Do you buy name brand or the Supermarket tin..
