I can see your point but even with the draft players it is hard to find players for certain positions. I don't think most managers with experience try to create 'monsters' as their wages are too high, but with the option to use extra training an average draft player could be trained to the necessary level for these positions without taking until they are 29/30 years old.

I am not a fan of this, but lets collect some opinions in a poll. I added a short description on top of the discussion.

Yes my rookies didn’t find a role on my team except special teams and would like to develop them

Am I right in thinking that you could move the draft players from youth academy to main roster without using one of the promotions from youth academy chances. Or that a draftee would go to senior squad if youth academy is full?

The statement on the poll seems to indicate that this wouldn't happen and if that's the case I would be against it as it would penalise newer teams who want to play their draftees straightaway.

I am not sure about this part technically, which is why I put it that way.

If you do this I think it should have a cost (financial or otherwise) else it's taking yet another step making it easier to build a team without any extra cost or effort.

This downside could be you would have to use a ticket... I am still no fan of the whole thing.

I am quite new here in RZA and I have not experienced too much about drafts and YA. But I would like to suggest one thing: restrict the age of draftees from 21 yo to 23 yo.

Let me explain: I think that a drafted player, just as in real world NFL, is a "complete" player or someone close to be a pro. I see that many draft players here have good abilities and could start playing in high level in 2 or 3 seasons. But I do not see the same about YA players that usually have lower abilities (which is normal when we are talking about under 20 players). They will have a long road until they become starters and that is why they are so young imo.

If my suggestion makes sense the whole discussion in here will be in vain as we are not going to have that "clash" between the 2 types of players (YA and draftees).

And one last idea: YA players not promoted to senior team before 21 yo may go to the draft list for the next season. Is it possible to implement?

Taking my team as an example, and I don't use the TM so 100% of my team comes from the YA or Draft, losing a ticket for a draftee would mean nothing as I never use all 6 of my tickets anyway.
