My club legend QB will be retiring this year, so it meant the end of an era for my team. I'll be back to SD1 next season as a 70% tier 2-3 team. Would be years before I can draft or YA a capable QB to lead my team. |

For some fun, some late season Power Rankings (divided into four groupings and an unrated fifth group of Bots):
The Front Runners 1. Baltimore Ravens (13-1) - while not unbeatable (a loss to Worpex and some narrow wins), no other team has two victories over Front Runners 2. DC Washingtonians (13-1) - other than the failed use of a MOTY against PJ, no other team has really challenged DCW yet (all wins 17+ points) 3. Dortmund Griffins (14-0) - of the Front Runners, the hardest to get a read on due to another light schedule (all wins 18+ points) 4. Munich Runners (12-2) - avenged a league loss to PJ in SC play and beat MSU in one of the most exciting games of the season 5. Michigan State University (12-2) - crushing everyone in his path (including two blow out wins against Marsz!) save for the previously mentioned loss to Buziano and a tough run-in with Marife The Challengers 6. Marife-Lacion (10-4) - with three wins vs likely playoff teams so far (MSU, HighTowers and Schrodingers Cats), hourt likely needs to win a fourth game by beating DCW in the season finale or he could surprisingly actually miss the playoffs 7. Naprzód Marsz! (10-4) - all four of those losses have been blowouts, but Grzymisław has had a bounce back season with wins over Philly Phoenix and Gdansk Redskins 8. Philadelphia Phoenix (10-4) - three of the losses are explainable (Munich twice and Marsz!) and he holds the ultimate trump card so far, a win over the top team in the rankings 9. GDansk Redskins (11-3) - all three losses are to likely playoff teams and has wins against Devon and Schrodingers with an interesting re-match in the season finale 10 Schrodingers Cats (11-3) - win the aforementioned rematch and move up in the rankings. Like the Redskins, the losses are all against playoff-caliber teams and he crushed Marsz! and beat Verona 11. Konjarnik HighTowers (11-3) - 0-3 against playoff-caliber teams; 11-0 against the rest of the field 12. Devon Warriors (10-4) - the 2-0 record against Verona is impressive but not much meat on the bone beyond that, but a chance for a big win next week against Shrodingers; he does appear to have his finances back in order for the time being 13. Idrosburghi Verona (9-5) - beat Gdansk and had a close loss to Schrodingers; can still win the division and looks to be a playoff lock Better Luck Next Season 14. Alpin Ducks (8-6) the next three teams are separated by a razor thin margin, but I'm giving a slight edge to Kanard thanks to the wins over Philly Phoenix and the Gladiators 15. Växjö Gladiators AFC (9-5) - two wins against Marife and close losses to Baltimore Ravens and the HighTowers; if not for the head-to-head loss to the Ducks, the Gladiators might be in the playoffs 16. La Spezia Sprugoleans (7-7) - beat the Ducks, and more impressively, Buziano, but like the two teams ahead in the rankings, the schedule was just too tough 17. Bautzen Greywolves (8-6) - other than the surprising loss to the Denver Broncos, this is a team that beats the teams it should (8-1) and lost to the teams above it in the rankings (0-5) Still A Ways Off 18. The Chicago Cubs (6-8) - the top of the fourth rung teams, he holds two wins against Beast and one against the NY Revolvers 19. Paris Rioters (5-9) - a fast riser since rejoining the game, Browka holds this spot thanks to beating Beast head to head 20. The Beast (5-9) - his most impressive performance was probably in a losing effort giving Bautzen a good game 21. New York Revolvers (4-10) - hopefully this team sticks around, but has been offline for a week; if he is still around, please finish building your stadium. That said, he has an impressive win over Devon this season 22. Denver Broncos (4-10) - this team has shown a lot of promise as of late with one-score losses to Philly Phoenix, Devon and La Spezia and relatively competitive against Baltimore Ravens and Marsz! and a win against Bautzen 23. SH Cougars (3-11) - holds a win over the Paris Rioters and were tough in losses to Philly and La Spezia 24. Skalica Eagles (2-12) - gave the Broncos a thorough beating early in the season and had three close calls but came up short against the Gladiators, Ducks and Phoenix 25. Kaunas Hurricanes (1-13) - could be a little higher if he had better luck in one-score games losing in such contests to the Broncos, Rioters and SH Cougars 26. Bern Marcupilamis (3-11) - a tough season for the young team but did score three wins against bots |

What a great write up ! Well researched and exact to the point wi5h each team.
It has been an exciting season so far. I am already curious to see the rest unfold. The AC PO decision is as tight as can be. And in the NC I am as curious as you are about the real strength of the Griffins. |

I have no idea how I beat the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the season. Dumb luck I would chalk it up to. All my losses have been blowouts. I seem to be a lock for the playoffs but I don't think this will be a deep playoff run season.

You beat me because despite I knew quite well your playbook (I allowed you only 27 rushing yds) my defense was outplayed by your passing play (Torres rate 103.04 2 TD) and my offensive play was ruined by your defense that was able to create two turnovers both converted in TD. This means that scouting your opponent is needed but not enough! Maybe not a regular basis but a team like yours can beat stronger (on paper) teams like mine as mine did in the past without talking about a miracle. (it means also that with a new playbook a little bit less predictable you can for sure achieve even better results  )

Unfortunately for me, my low wages is about to increase drastically. I have 80% of my contracts to renew this off season and we all know what it means. 
I must say this season has been very enjoyable. Being the underdog removes a lot of pressure and disappointment in case of loss. Finishing with 8 wins is already great considering I was aiming for 3 or 4. I may even top 9 but it will be a long shot. If I loose the first round on SC PO (highly probable), I will move my last 2 SF to their good position implying a big moral and TC drop at the position. In these conditions I would expect a few long TD from LSS on Saturday. After that I will trim my roster a little bit. A few veterans need to leave the team to make room for younger players. I may lose a few rating points in the process. |
