No, and sorry if it sounds that way. It is about thresholds.
Example: threshold < 25 plays/game, A player playing each game 24 plays for 10 games will gain much faster exp than a player that played 5 games for 48 plays each. Clearer? Disclaimer: numbers are just examples |

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
We know there's a threshold for number of plays in a game. Players also gain less experience when playing out of position, right? Are there any other thresholds? Someone mentionned age in the thread, is this also a factor? |

There is only one valid answer:
if it is not mentioned in the manual it is A.) not there or B.) a secret 
I checked the manual on Experience again, and IMO it is somehow "well desrcibed". |
