I propose that the transfer market value for players aged 30 or more be reduced on a sliding scale.
This may increase activity in the transfer market as teams might be tempted to get a veteran for a season or 2 for a reduced price, whereas now they are unlikely to. |

It's their wages that put me off. People normally ramp up the skills when they know they're going to be letting a player leave, I could be offered those players on a free transfer but I wouldn't want the wages.

The issue with this: those "grandpas" are worth every cent, usually. If we lose the connection between skill and money for these players, it would cause all people jumping on it.
I am afraid the hardest part is to find kind of a balance... |

That is why I stated that their should be a home town discount if you drafted the player or promoted him out of your academy maybe he should play for you at a 10 to 20% discount this way people would be able to keep the players they developed a little longer Just an opinion

If you want to keep your players longer don't overtrain them, it's that easy.

yeah true, the wages can be a... (female dog) too lol
I understand, i was just thinking of a way for the transfer market to get a little bit of a kick start. I also agree about the over training. i will train up lots when i know someone is retiring, or if i am 100% certain i wont be renewing the contract. |

I do not even put 30+ players on TM anymore, knowing there wont be a single bid. The "Fire" button then is my first choice.
Ridiculous that aged players still expect big bucks. Suggestion: A players wage demands should drop with every day he is without any bid. Example: TM Day 1: original wage demand TM Day 2: - 10% TM Day 3: - 20% TM Day 4: - 40% |

Nice idea, but does not work with the data model we have in use. I am afraid I cannot do this. Sorry
