Last season did see the first time the shrinking level 2 amount of teams, so the number of supercup divisons did decrease. There are 34 divisions this season, 128 teams will make the cut. So very likely several 4-loss teams will get a playoff spot. In fact 4 losses were too much, even some 3 loss teams missed the PO this year... True, because I did calculate the wrong way. 34 divisions means potentially 34 15-0 teams, 34 14-1 teams and 34 13-2 teams + 34 12-3 teams -> in sum 136 teams with less of equal 3 losses. But it are 4 categories and in my mind this was translated in 4 losses. My bad. It's very unlikely in this constallation to have 4 loss teams in the playoffs. |

Yeah upsets don't make this linear at 34 teams in each category.
It's only the second season with this format but here's what the stats show: This season we had: 24 teams going 15-0 34 teams going 14-1 36 teams going 13-2 40 teams going 12-3 Total: 134 teams at 12-3 or better. Last season we had: 23 teams going 15-0 37 teams going 14-1 29 teams going 13-2 38 teams going 12-3 Total: 127 teams at 12-3 or better. |

Quick stats: From the 128 qualifiers on the present moment we have only 4 2nd division teams. From those 4 teams, 3 are from Dragons 2. I am proud of my division! At the end we had 4 L2 teams: 2 from Dragons 2 and 2 from Admirals 2. |

We had one last season. Didn't looked that, up. Wow. Still even more losses are possible, but unlikely. That 4-loss team can open a bottle of Champagne for that one. |

Your difference in ELO is roughly 50 points, while the MOTD has 14.
I guess the algorithm does look for the smallest diff with some extra. |

The supercup gives an interesting indication about the strength of the region. Sea Devils are most competitive at the moment, while the Monarch seem to be weakest region. Interestingly the amount of active teams doesn't matter
Active Teams Round 1 Round 2 Sea Devils 33 18 55% 12 36% Claymore 32 15 47% 9 28% Thunder 40 19 48% 7 18% Admirals 50 22 44% 10 20% Fire 33 14 42% 7 21% Galaxy 33 11 33% 7 21% Dragons 60 21 35% 8 13% Monarchs 34 8 24% 4 12% |
