I am quite surprised. I was initially aiming for 8-8 and 3-3 in the division. That’s already done.
Yet my schedule was fairly the easiest compared to the Hounds and the Pirates. After 9 games, my opponents are 31-50. Outside of Seadevils teams, all my opponents have 1 to 3 wins this season. I lost last week in SC to the Bobbers and few weeks ago SDB dominated me all game long. The Ducks may see the PO, but I doubt they will do as good as my old Goats long time ago. |

I had not much hope after my stupid Supercup loss yesterday, so no suprise here. Only the ongoing INTs are just anoying.  |

Admittedly, I'm in a similar situation to the Ducks.
My opponents to start the season were 19-62 (19-53 if you take me out of the equation, a 26% win rate). Scheduling luck alone might land me in the playoffs, but... For the rest of the way I'm facing opponents with a combined 40-23 record (64% win percentage). Looking at 2 games against last years champ and division rival Helsinki Gangsters, Wilmersdorf, and Chelt Nam Bobbers. Free Agent Mascots are one of two teams on my schedule with sub-.500 records, but really, they're 4-5 in the AC West (Strong division top to bottom). My season ends with my longtime division rival Diorite Lions who can put up a W on anyone if they're not careful (took one from Helsinki) but has been uncharacteristically fragile against some lesser teams this year. These last 7 games should help to put my season into perspective. |

So with the AC East currently setting Elite alight (best team has 3 wins from 9) and total wins of the division are currently just 9 I thought I would research what the fewest wins needed to win a division has been and what has been the fewest total wins recorded by a division:
Fewest wins needed to win a division Season 20 - Memphis Bees 7 (NC West) Season 36 - Granville Skunks 7 (AC East) Fewest total wins recorded by all teams in a division Season 17 - 17 wins by AC South Will be a tight finish

The lowest total wins for all teams in a division is actually 16 wins for Claymore in season 32. You can find this information in my all time recap spreadsheet here. You'll find the total wins per division at the bottom of the table, below each team's individual total wins. I did not u p d a t e the spreadsheet last season but intend on doing it at the end of this one. |
