This reminds me of a famous quote.

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. And i'm not sure about the universe ".

In the NFL, there are a bunch of vocal players resisting getting the vaccine. Also, a couple of coaches have been let got because they refused to get vaccinated. NFL really pushing hard to get everyone vaccinated - - mostly because they want to avoid canceled/re-scheduled games.

It's strange - - don't you think the health risks of playing professional football are much higher than vaccine side effects?

I put enough common sense into the whole handling of the pandemic by me, and my family made it quite easy for me. We were following common rules, avoided not needed contacts, behaved a little, went as early as possible for vaccs. Noone of us caught Covid, so far.

It's almost as if the health professionals designed an effective plan. And if everyone had followed that plan this would have been over a year ago.

Did they learn is probably the question noone can really answer. And it seems every country has its own way what went wrong. For Germany, a good portion of scientists believe that we opened to early around March, and paid by running our 3rd wave until June. Many scientists asked not to travel around the world. Right now the most infections are spread by people that were travelling. Today, one official said, returner from Turkey are kind of a danger at the moment.

Did WE learn something? We will know in autumn, I guess.

I am no expert. For myself, I see 2 different futures.

A.) We learn that dickheads won't win against a virus, start acting like humans, and learn to deal with the situation to keep risks low for all

B.) we prefer to act kind of selfish, and proceed in counting infection waves ...

Cannot wait to see what kind of decision we make.

Humans have very short memories. That's unfortunate for when this situation occurs again, I see very little change happening. Too many don't care about long term effects or how their actions affect others.

Supposedly in September, they are going to start Covid vaccine booster shots (3rd does of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines). Not sure - - is that happening else where?
