A couple games yesterday seem to shake things up even more. The Lions hard fought win over the Knights is the biggest change this week, but I was also surprised to see the Axemen take down SARMIS and the Park Ridge Owls get destroyed by West Geatish Warriors.

Other games to note:

Berinsfield Hornets destroyed birney's weekenders 33-3

DA Raiders edged out the Eastern Wolves 26-20

Burnaby Bruisers crushed Fehérvári Malacok 48-6

Paxtang Black Panthers ran Rheydter Royal Roosters 45-16

Florida Gators rallied after a tough first half to smash MK Saints 33-21

Looks like some teams are settling into what could be playoff spots, but each week has had crazy upsets so far, so I am not counting on anything yet. Look for my midseason predictions after the game on Tuesday, I am excited to see what happens. We have a tough match against Paxtang Black Panthers, as they have managed to put together a nice winning streak against us. Best of luck to everyone!

Birneys weekenders played well, I got lucky as the game went on and they made a couple of mistakes. (going for it on 4th down on their own 27 yard line, probably not a good idea)

My defence played very well to keep them to just one field goal.

Here is a quick look at the stars of the Monarchs 1 league as we approach the halfway part of the season. (League games only)

Passing

The golden boys of the Monarchs league, men want to be them, women want them, and way out in the passing yards is Nick Tsibilika of the Park Ridge Owls with 3,037 yards, followed by Mathew Wagner for the Leverkusen Leopards on 2,266 yards and very close behind is David Mora with 2,204 yards for the Space Kraken. Thats a nearly 800 yard advantage to Tsibilika as he leads the Owls impressive aerial bombardment.

Catching

Ante Huber for the Leopards is the only wide receiver with over 1,000 yards which is currently at 1,241 yards. The Torchwood Aliens have Lionel Malloy on 942 yards and Gino Otto also of the Leoprds on 907 yards. The safe hands of the Leoprds duo are really paying off as they look to returning to the elite league. Highest ranked Tight End with 517 yards is Ozren Bebic for the Letaidans.

Rushing

The workhorses of any offence are the runningbacks and leading the pack is Abedi Mulisa of the DA Raiders with 1,373 yards. He is followed by Santiago Maness of the Florida Gators on 1,252 yards. Orazio Maggi of the Osler Rotties is in 3rd with 1,149 yards. These 3 are the only running backs to break the 1,000 yards for the season so far. Brandon Gaines is the highest ranked Fullback for the Paxtang Black Panthers with 427 yards.

Pancakes

No not the sort you eat, but the humilation the defence receives from the unsong hereos of the offence. Sylvester Cesal for the Florida Gators has 299. Miroslaw Puszko with 274, Giedruis Jablonskis with 270 and Vladyslav Leshchenko with 264 are part of the excellent Poznan Knights, “Polska Bariera”

Sacking

Time to see who the quarterback haters are with the linebackers and the most sacks. Franz-Josef Dorfmeister with 9 sacks and Clemente Alvarez with 7 sacks, both play for Osler Rotties. Alex Nogueira for the Space Kraken and Simon Alexandersson for the West Geatish Warriors both have 6 sacks each. The Rotties dynamic duo are causing teams some problems keeping them off the quarterbacks.

Tackles for Loss

The brutes who stop the run behind the line of scrimmage, they are awesome specimens of natural ability. Elden Glover leads the brutes with 27 stops for the Park Ridge Owls. Florida Gators, Julio Varney has 25 stops and we have 2 players with 24 stops each. Garfield Chamberlin for the DA Raiders and Alexei Kramer for the Florida Gators.

Interceptions

Linebackers with a sixth sense for the ball are led by Phillip Kohn of the Florida Gators who has 9 interceptions. Fillipo Dogan with 7 for the Burnaby Bruisers and Ismail Sam of the Rheydter Royal Roosters with 6 interceptions.

Field Goals

The clutch player who spends all game praying he won't miss is led by Lenard Day of the Torchwood Aliens with 24 field goals. Next is Johnie Yancey with 23 FG's for the Florida Gators and then Sydney Winfrey of the Berinsfield Hornets with 23 FG's

I understand that we have bots in the league and this will effect the numbers, but it is for fun and not meant to be serious.

That's an awesome read. Maybe I'll have to stop benching Mora against bots to bump him up the "women want him" status. Can't let the Owls get all the chicks!

A really enjoyable read, kharton99!
And I'd like to congratulate you for spelling "Polska Bariera" correctly. Polish language is really complex and there are lots of surprises. Kudos to you

It was a fun read, kharton 99, I should have acknowledged that right away as well but I got too excited to correct Rufio13, again.

My Polish knowledge is substantially less than my baby animal nomenclature knowledge, so I had to use the internets to translate "Polska Bariera". I then searched for "Polish Barrier" thinking maybe it was a reference to something really cool that I didn't know about. Instead I got a bunch of results about nail polish protective barriers. I think I got lost along the way.

I believe that it is not a reference to aby particular event or something. I was impressed, because of it was just spelled correctly. You see - adjectives in Polish have like 20 "forms" depending on the context.
However in a history of Poland there were many events, which could be desceibed in that way.

Excellent and very interesting post mate! Well done! I am happy to see that I have players mentioned in every category on defense and special teams, now to work on that offense XD
