Maybe this has been brought up before: If a team felt it was not going to be very competitive in Elite, it could "hit the button" which would send a message to the next team in line giving it the option to give it a go (or some function along those lines). Should no replacement be found, the noob is just gonna have to grin and bear it. I just know there are some really competitive divisions and some not so competitive, and maybe it's a shame to see one team go to Elite due to circumstance, and one team not go despite ability and talent.

My opinion is, and always was, one should not influence playoff brackets or relegation. However, lets see where this discussion leads to.

This feature would allow some teams to remain indefinitely in league 1 and win the league every year. Elite is hard. But if you want your regional trophy, it is the cost to pay. Then most of the times, if you are not good enough for the next level, you will be back to your region the season after with decent draft picks, it’s not that bad.

I think accepting the elite promotion is a sign of respect for the league 1 mates you beat. If you don't like losing, why should they like to lose against you again the next season?

If you want to be in bowl then you must have to want to be promoted. Simple is that. For me this Elite season was a great lesson. |
