Some of our first leagues are now having heavy bot presence. I believe we have to do something as otherwise I would see RZA in danger of disappearing in the future.

Have their been any kind of "PR campaigns" that proved successful and that we could do again ? As it is the start of the football season we might be able to get some attention from football lovers.

I looked around to find a similar thread somewhere. If there is, please tell me. If there is not let's use this one to exchange ideas of what we can do and put them into action.

My basic thought is to post in other games (that allow this kind of posts) and in football related blogs forums or social media.

I agree with Buzi. We either need more managers to support our current league structure, or we need to restructure. As the latter has been discussed in depth and largely shot down, attracting new managers is a must at this point. There are tons of platforms that can be used to promote the game. I see that RZA already has a Facebook and Twitter page, but there are other social media pages that would be better suited for the population of people that are generally attracted to games such as this. Reddit stands out as the big one. It might also be worth considering getting an Instagram page, as that is a widely used platform. I also like Buzi's idea of posting on other game sites; that would be another great way of targeting the population we need to attract to this game. This is an issue and should be treated as such.

Twitter and Facebook presence means playing according to their rules. Especially Facebook is a pain in the ass. And: it brought nearly to nothing in the past, which is why I stoppedn doing propaganda on these platforms. I should remove those pages, finally.

Just a sarcastic note: this will happen, sooner or later

Then if you remove these pages, would you be willing to consider shifting platforms so RZA still has an advertising presence on the internet?

Still 270 people on the list. I swear it's been there since I started looking. Not like a mass exodus or something. Maybe some time zones just aren't as popular as others. Dragon is full.

Dude, here's what we should do:

A SUPERBOWL THINGY FOR THE SURVIVAL OF YOUR LEAGUE

Loser of this grand tournament see the bitter end of their league, out of existence! This would be epic, and I have no idea how you'd do it. I just thought of it, so let's give it some time. One less league and then they're all full.

Oh man, sorry to see you go, Seadevils. So sad... don't worry... there will be some room in Galaxy for you...

edit: that last bit was me talking smack for the upcoming League Elimination Bowl. I promise. I did not realize Seadevil league is bleeding out. Now I feel bad. You guys will win, watch.

Sorry Fire, you're about to be extinguished!!!

@Pete: I remember you had trouble linking Facebook to RZA accounts. However what is the issue on keeping the page and maybe having it a little bit more active?

Posting news, congratulating competition winners, teasing changes would generate a few likes. Then it would show up in the managers "friends" feed, maybe leading to new enrollments.

Also, for a couple of euros you can launch targeted ad campaigns on Facebook. Not saying you should spend tons of euros on it, but investing a few ones at strategic moments (beginning and end of NFL season?) may boost the visibility.

Globally, I think RZA needs a community manager (and this requieres real competencies), just to make a little bit of noise on social media. I am sure some people here could do it, even for free (or some credits). Now I do not know if it would be legal considering that RZA generates incomes. anyway solutions must exist.

At the end, RZA does not really need any major u p d a t e imo. The game is already great as it is. It would just needs more visibility.

I did that for about 6 years. I even paid ads on Google and Facebook. I was not able to measure a single success out of it instead a bunch of one time logins. No, I do not have the power to do this, I am sorry.

Form the RZA Jedi Council, Pete! Do it!!! Put me in, and I promise not to lightsaber any younglings for the first season or two. The council can plan the "Deathstar" initiative where we plan out the destruction of one of the leagues. Our empire will be stronger for it!!!

Do it! Do it!

You wanna kill a region? This means you would kill 4 regions. Keep the power of 2 so RZA Elite promotion can work out. Killing 4 regions will resilt in 32 elite spots, 128 D1 spots. So you need to convnce about 130 teams to relegate to a D2.

Is this the plan?
