Hey PJ! Sorry if I did not make myself clear. I do not think it was a disaster. I was disappointed because of the way it happened. I know how difficult Elite is so each win is important (even when you are not expecting it).

I really feel your team is better than mine. You have some important titles and well skilled players. But the biggest difference imho is on tactics (PB). I am still working on it. So I really think it was not a 50/50 game. I was clearly the underdog today as I was on the road against you. Just it.

And I am relaxed now. Thx!

Pete, you are ruining Rufio's odds to get a good draft position.

Took the Bridges to Overtime but couldn't get close enough for a FG and have to take a heartbreaking loss.

My season opener was a 1pt loss to the 84 pounders

Time to hit the bottle.......

....then get back to it and face the Centurions next.

I'm still 2nd in the division so gotta believe....

It's long and tough way

I am sorry not to have lots of time right now. I know my predictions help to motivate your team.

Two difficult wins for my Ducks. The change at QB seems to have a greater impact than I was hoping. Anyway I will take those W and hopefully the defense will continue to make the difference.

Blame Kanar! His flag inspired a complete team makeover that has been fully embraced!

2 games in the books! There's some surprises, movement at the top, and some Ducks in need of a name change. Early questions:

Was I wrong about the Thunder being the strongest? Rome Stumbled early last season also, so I wouldn't worry about them, but Claymore looks like 3 excellent teams and PR chaser makes Fire very deep. The AC wild card race is always fun and comes down to the very end.

Will the NC wild card race be entertaining at all? It always seems to be wrapped up by game 13 or 14. Is there any reason to think this will be any different? Can't imagine the Malones and Pirates don't make it. Can't imagine Sea Devil's not putting two teams in as well.

We have a new team atop the rankings!

1. (2-0) Willemstad Bridges (2)
The Bridges overcame a plucky Dumplings squad to maintain being the only Thunder team with a victory. They'll play Rome next week and try to really stick them in an early hole.

2. (2-0) Chelt Nam Bobbers (4)
Bobbers continue right where they left off last season. A nice win against DC and soon they'll get 'd when I talk about certain potential results from their schedule.

3. (2-0) Home Malones (5)
2 great wins to open the season for the Malones, beating both the Pirates and the Blitz. Malones have won 3 of their last 4 against the Pirates and their last 3 against the Blitz.

4. (1-1) Salt City Pirates (1)
The Pirates' hold over the Monarchs region is in jeopardy. They've won the division 4 times in a row but the hot start for the Malones has them looking up early.

5. (1-1) DC Washingtonians (3)
DC recovered from their opening L to the Bobbers and an important game against the Runners looms on Tuesday. This division is really exciting with how much each game matters.

6. (2-0) Social Distance Runners (10)
Speaking of Buzi's runners, they make a big jump to 6 after a convincing win over the Ravens. Someone should make a bet how many times I reference this division being ridiculously tough throughout the season...

7. (2-0) The Masked Ducks (7)
The Ducks shut down the TiCats for the second straight time and renamed my team with a beautiful flag suggestion. He gets PR Chaser on Saturday to continue his dominance of the Fire region. The scheduling committee decided the Winning Ducks shouldn't start division games until game 7.

8. (1-1) San Diego Blitz (8)
Just like last season, Steve finds himself behind and early Elephant invasion. An early loss to the Malones precedes a tough upcoming stretch starting next Saturday. Games against Rome, DC, and the Bridges will set the first half tone.

9. (2-0) Diorite Lions (13)
The Lions continue to build off an impressive last season with two more impressive wins, beating the Hounds and a shootout vs. Rome. What an interesting schedule as they will face the Mascots in the supercup, have a week 4 bye week, and play BETIS SANPOL twice in a row.

10. (1-1) Baltimore Ravens (6)
Everyone saw this coming right? The Runners gave them a rude return to Elite gift and they survived a solid effort from the Stars. PJ has got to be a little concerned at the moment, making the playoffs in the NC has little room for error.

11. (1-1) TigerCats (9)
TiCats can't get over the Ducks, but more important is the games to come. Falcons and the first match against the BoneCrushers. Both games will have postseason implications and the BoneCrushers really need it to keep pace.

12. (1-1) Hell Hounds (14)
Hounds and Lions are so even, each game is really fantastic to read. Claymore couldn't quite sneak 2 in the playoffs last season, with a stronger Falcons team do they beat eachother up too much to prevent it again? We won't find out anytime soon, since the Hounds play the rest of those games towards the end of the season.

13. (1-1) BobBoy Magpies (12)
Are the Magpies the new Hounds? This team is way too unpredictable week to week. I'm really interested to see how the game against Sonderborg goes since the Magpies already got blasted by the Mascots, could they find themselves in a hole early?

14. (2-0) Dumbarajko Elephants (17)
Here we go again Elephans! A strong start, and excellent win against Rome, has got those hopes up, but no bulletin board material from me to keep them motivated. Where will they find the passion like last season when they just wanted to prove me wrong? At least they'll get to attack directly when we meet halfway through the season!

15. (2-0) Saker Falcons (19)
The Falcons opened the season by smashing last season's surprise team the BoneCrushers. They get the TiCats and PR Chaser next to improve on the early playoff standing.

16. (2-0) PR Chaser (16)
What an absolute gauntlet this team will run through over the next eight? EIGHT! games. Ducks, Falcons, Ravens to complete the birdwatching tour followed by BoneCrushers, DC, and Hounds to round out the Storm the Capitol tour and then more birds with the Magpies and finishing with the Runners. Just brutal. Welcome back to Elite though!

17. (0-2) Rome Centurions (11)
"Would be shocked if this team isn't playoff bound again." Still would be shocked, but maybe not quite as much. They started 0-2 last season as well, but followed that up with a win against the Bridges. They'll like the replicate that when the play on Tuesday. If they fall the the Dumplings, then the Bridges and start 0-4 that might be too large a hole to dig out of. Clearly they only have Buzi to blame.

18. (1-1) Free Agent Mascots (20)
Sanco made his claim to the division very early by crushing the Magpies. He gets another shot to solidify this claim later this week against Sonderborg, who he beat 30-17 in last season's D1 bowl.

19. (2-0) Sønderborg 84-pounders (23)
Well, this week will tell us exactly where Sonderborg fits. Mascots and Magpies. They'll either be in the thick of it, or they'll be shown the door back to D1.

20.(0-2) Norfolk Dumplings (18)
Losing in OT to the Bridges is a tough division opener. They'll be able to redeem themselves against division rivals Rome and Juggernaut. Just like those teams, none can afford to start 0-4.

21. (0-2) Bonecrushers (15)
"The Bonedomers were the surprise of the AC last season winning 6 of their last 8" They decided to stop last season's momentum and start like they did last season. Two bad losses to start the season has them scrambling, escpecially after seeing how difficult the schedule is.

22. (2-0) Spacebar Kraken (25)
The Kraken have undergone a rebranding after millions of space squid marched (or whatever tentacles do) on Pete's office demanding equal flag representation for non-Earthbound creatures. The Kraken will need to channel that energy if they plan to survive the Lions or Blitz.

23. (1-1) Rio Stars (27)
They took down the Jacks, and almost upset the Ravens. A very good start to this rookie elite squad. They'll try to dethrone the Bobbers Saturday. Which would be a huge step to ensuring they can try again next season.

24. (1-1) 2020 - RETURN OF THE JEDI (24)
Got an opening win in a back and forth match against the Werewolves but could not handle the trip to Space. The real challenge starts now with the next 5 games against division rivals or playoff teams.

25. (0-2) Werewolves (21)
The Werewolves really need any wins they can get and losing that tossup to the Jedi could come back to haunt them. This whole division has a rough schedule so interdivision games are going to be really important and the Jacks are up next.

26. (0-2) Juggernaut (22)
"Had some close playoff games before blowing out the Dumplings in the championship." They'll need a repeat of that this week, and maybe a defeat of Rome the game after if they want to have a shot at the postseason. A well played game against the Blitz should leave some space for optimism.

27. (0-2) Juggernaut Jackalopes (26)
The Jacks need to get this next one against the Werewolves, because after that we've got Bobbers, Pirates, Ducks, and Runners. That is a very tough way to open a season.

28. (0-2) Bretzfeld Bandits (28)
"did play the Ducks very tough in the Supercup playoffs." And played them very tough again! They'll have to go up against the Bridges next before getting some lower ranked teams in the Jedi's, Stars, and Squid.

29. (0-2) Poznan Knights (29)
The Knights hung tough with the Falcons, but the real test on how they stack up in Monarchs comes against the Pirates this week.

30. (0-2) BETIS SANPOL (30)
They put up some points and gave the TICats a little scare, that's got to keep the fans a little excited for what will be a long season.

31. (0-2) Helsinki Gangsters (31)
Can Henry find a way to beat the bot for the first pick? They are currently tied as "Botwatch Season 42" continues!

32. (0-2) Comeback Kids (32)
Here we say good bye to the Comeback Kids. Markupst took over in October of 2014 and was in Elite since season 37 while winning the Champ of Champs cup in that season. Hopefully he makes a return after a little break.

Have fun everyone, try not to freeze to death, and slap every idiot that makes a global warming joke!
