After closing the second division of all the regions there are no relegation games to be played. Those games were played on day 71 (on season 50 it will be tomorrow, Feb 25th) and were the only official games scheduled for the day.
Right now all RZA teams have only the choice to play boring friendly matches that do not add anything more than just a little bit of money from gate receipts which is far from being attractive. My suggestion is to create a special event that could involve all teams on this day and create some hype for the forthcoming bowls of the week (League, SC, CoC). The main idea is to create some bowls in which all teams can participate and give special prizes like credits and some cool trophies. I have no intention to make extra money from gate receipts. The details should/could be discussed here. |

In college basketball, we have events like the Big 10-ACC and Big 12-SEC challenge. So if there's interest, and something Pete is willing to do, we could have region vs region challenges and use the regional standings for pairings. For example, a Sea Devil-Monarch Challenge would pit the top team Mystics (SD) against Bradford Yo-yos (Monarchs) all the way down to the bottom teams Hamburg Baltic Dogs (SD) against London Monarchs (Monarchs). The downside would be the inclusion of bots in such a format. We could also add the Elite teams, but naturally, they would be playing against each other but still part of the regional challenge. For rivalry sake, we could keep it a seasonal event against one region, or we could randomly rotate regions every season the way the league scheduling works with divisions.
Could be cool to give a Media Center bonus to the regions that win their challenge for the season. But just plain old bragging rights is always fun, too. |

But I am avoiding any way to add extra money because I think it can unbalance the team management. |

I don't know exactly, but D2 league was ever closed before this season?
Perhaps sometime in the future it will open again, because if any open slot in D1 will be filled, if another team will want to join, they must have this posibility. So perhaps this is only a temporary solution. |

Started in D3 actually in season 1 because D2 was full when i registered. So that means that D2 was active until this season i guess, it will open again at some point. No doubt about it.  |

How about a draftee exhibition game? Any managers that want to participate can sign up, and will be pitted against another random member of their league.
Each manager will be using the players on the draft board for the game, so equal team potential, meaning the playbook is more valued for the game (maybe with a neutral site, so no home team advantage?) It'd be similar to a college championship game where scouts can watch their prospects in action. (except the prospects here aren't nearly as developed as in real life) Maybe even have it tournament style, with games for a week leading up to the draft? (I'm tired of twiddling my fingers waiting for the new season to start.) The only problem is being able to create a depth chart, but maybe that could just be filled based on a manager's draft order? Of course, a better ratio of players in the draft would help too. (What the heck is up with 11 P/Ks in the elite draft this season anyways?) (I seem to really like the use of parenthesis in this post!) |
