I guess the Cologne area would provider shelter to Bud Light consumers because of the nature of their local beer.

We were occupied by the British, which is why I first thought that Bud Light might have existed in the US-occupied territories. But Google says something different: There is a Czech city that is called Budweis in German. Only the beer from this city can be called that in Germany, which is why the American brands Budweiser and Bud Light are not available in Germany and Austria. But they exist in other EU countries.
