Still away team manages to get 92 yards on 20 carries with 60% rush offense making 4.6 yards per carry. Only that makes sense for lower ratings is pass def for away team because 7 players changed at CB and 3 at SF, so lower rating must be for using a lot of players. Even that 6 CBs have tackling over 40. So lets take a look at Elite season averages for RBs on away team: No 1 with skills 41 has 35 rushes for 172 yards that make 4.9 yards per carry No 2 with skills 28 has 46 rushes for 247 yards that make 5.4 yards per carry No 3 with skills 21 has 33 rushes for 144 yards that make 4.4 yards per carry Home team RBs have season stats: No 1 with skills 45.5 has 57 rushes for 263 yards that make 4.6 yards per carry No 2 with skills 42-46 has 79 rushes for 385 yards that make 4.9 yards per carry And I don't even want to talk about OL skills who are in front of them (please don't mention TE skills since one team has no TEs). So ok, ratings are lower due to skills 21 and 28. But yards per carry are better for RBs that are not training carrying. Not one game, not two games, but 7-8 games. And once again lets not talk about OL guys. Point is home team should sell this RBs, promote two guys from academy, set their positions to RB and let them run with 18-20 skills. It seems that is a winning combination. And ok, ratings are average, but for away team it seems that all RBs get same stats and they are average too. Even they played a lot of great defensive teams. |

In other news: Despite keeping the game close in the first half we of course lost, in large parts due to not being able to score in the second half and not being able to defend the pass... so everything as usual.
Quite surprising, though: We did not lose ground in the NC West. The Ukies, the Bobbers and the Yellowjackets all lost their games, too, so we're still only one game behind in the race for staying Elite. It seems the divisional battles might decide our fate on the back-end of the season... |
