In my view, this is one of the beauties of RZA: gradually building the roster step-by-step. We have an idea of the players we'd like to have, and can then create a strategy to get there. And while we implement the strategy, having to choose what position to place our current players with the best physicals, plotting the next priorities, developing good youth players to take over from the old guys.

Hello again!

I would like to continue a bit in this topic...

I would like to ask for few more tips. There are some positions that divide into more in the depth chart. OL, DL, SF... So I would like to ask if there are some differences between those? How to decide, which player to put where?

It was mentioned even here before that for example DE might need more SPE. Makes sense, he needs to run longer distance than players in the center. I guess something similar might be for OL? I know SPE is not the most important skill for OL, but maybe the faster OL should be on the edges? Or are some positions more crucial than others? For example, maybe the best OL should play as Center, and the worst on the side?

And what about Safeties? Is there a difference in requirements between FS and SS?

Thanks

Hi Ethaziel,

Personally I put the fastest OL and DL at the ends and the slowest in the middle. I make SS the strongest. It may or may not make a difference, but I do it because it makes sense to me.

I do weight all players according to Jack6's ABC position skills, though what values you use as the ABC weightings is of course up to you. Using that approach in the first weeks, I did find that I could balance the team a fraction better overall than the auto-sort, which made me happy
