Please be aware that this could lead into some serious problems.

There are people out there who would buy such an account only to skip the "developing a team" phase and jump into the "be compenative" phase. So this way it could happen that such a team would be sold on ebay or which ever system is used.

In theory this could lead to playing/development farms in cheap loan countries with the only purpose to sell such accounts.

I know, it sound ridiculous, but such things happen.

This could be.

So i suggest, that this would only be an option for manager who had a supportaccount for min. 6 month. This would be 16 € for pete and the benefit for the "Team developers" would not huge.

Might be, but please be aware that for some games people are willing to spend thousands of $/€ to get a benefit of month or years.

It's a different kind of game, but there are warehouses full of World of Warcraft players in China playing that game for month and years to sell characters and items. And each player has to spend almost 19,95€ a month to play the game!

The only thing which is good here to prevent such thing is one team for one manager, but I'm sure there are possibilities.

I'm totally against selling or giving teams to other players. It opens markets you can't control.

The request will set the price for team. I think we will have only few managers who will spend much money for a good team. Maybe they will spend 50 € for a team. To develop a good team you need nearly one year. Spending 20 € for SA you have after a year a benefit of 30€ (60 cents/week). This is a real good wage

And keep in mind, this game will never have thousands of users and to compare it with WOW is absurd because there are million of players.

I know this has been dead for a while......but why not instead of a team becoming a bot and being totally useless for the remainder of the season, if they go BOT during a season why not keep the exisiting roster but take a 100% Morale hit and then at season rollover all players become free agents?

This would remove the issue of:
Team A plays Team C early in season and loses by 10-15.
Team C goes BOT mid way through season
Team B plays team C later inthe season and runs up a 180 PD and avoids relegation or reaches play off because of it.

Well, quite a good idea to give the teams A and B equal chances. But what about the possibility of Team C reaching the play-offs then? If a team with lets say 75.6 Rating would turn bot on league day 5 f.e. - this Bot team would still crush the league and go far. I don't like that possibility somehow.

With 0-5% Morale, they will tank pretty well

What about a player that has two teams and allows one to go bot? Not taking a shot at you, just a question as it looks like you have one team which just went bot, and then have another team.

Maybe I misinterpreted things.

I think that whether a player has one or more teams should not affect the idea of keeping a bot playable for a complete season because currently it is unfair to teams that lose to the team before it goes bot when others will come along later and not only win but crush it.

(If there is an issue with a player having more than one team that should be dealt with separately)

Also if a bot team makes it to the playoffs so what? I think it is unlikely to get there but if it does it's probably going to get beaten and if it wins, c'est la vie.

However, rather than see a bot team's players go to free agency why not let a newcomer take over the bot team? In RL when a coach leaves the team doesn't sack all its players and then make the new guy start again from scratch with school or college kids... So why do we?

The issue that I have is that in my SC division. Navy won the division, goes bot with one game to go, loses that game, and now we have a highly competitive(bot with 1 loss, second and third place had 2 losses, fourth and fifth had 3 losses) SC division with no human advancing. It's a big slap in the face to all of those teams that no one ends up getting to play in the playoffs.

Thematically, without a manager how would the team pay for all of those great players on the bot team?
