If a player is 29 you can give him only a contract "for this and another season" 2. You should negotiate expiring after the season in week before the season rollover. I think it is the week after the superbowls. |

24yo i can give only "this and 4 seasons"
So it looks like it is not possible to give franchise contract over the age of 29 or 23yo is last stage to give "this and 5 seasons". But i dont have a 23yo to negotiate and maybe some other manager can confirm |

The player can be 30 at the end of his contract.
Maybe you have not enough franchise contracts to give him a 5 year contract. My opinions are, that the players now worth to have franchise contact. I will wait until the draft and give than my stars a franchise contract, if they have <4* Talent. |

Still have all 5 franchise contracts available so this is not problem in generall. And i prefer to give players with >4* Talent a franchise contract, but you seem to have an other idea of talent Last edited on 2011-10-20 14:27:24 by Turtlemania |

And one more question:
Will next rookie come with contract for season 2 or will we have to negotiate contract for Season 2 already? Because you spoke of your superstars its a difference When they have already contract you can negotiate "this +5 years" so its a total of 6 years. When they have not already contract then you can contract them only total of 5 years. |
