What mean neutral players for the names of the players?

At the moment it is already very mixed. Ægir Grimes from Sri Lanka, Stuart Havlícek from Taiwan, Vigfús Dunham from Peru and so on. There seems to be no conection between the name and the actual nationality.

Would be nice to find a solution for the next draft board.

First i rate very poor this suggestion

Now reading all this i convinced this is something to solve because Names in combination with Flags like Buffalo descired "hurts my eyes"

So i hope you find very fast a solution and hope that then some other suggestion can be started to work on and so i rate it now very important.

Easy, and you should know about: we added most name databases AFTER the draft was generated. This will fix by itself, next time. But, because of the other passport the player gets on draft, it might be to have a german John Smith, or a taiwanese Vaclav Jindrichek...

But couldn't the nationality be chosen for the player before the draft? NHL for instance drafts player from all over the world.
The youth pull will still get you players of your own nationality

That is how it it was from the beginning. And all was great.

Then we decided to hand out draft guys under owners nationality, and all was fine too (we had only english name databases at this point). The issue is the mix of international name databases...

I guess I will switch off the nationality transfer to solve that in a proper way.

is not way to give them new name when the draft is over and the player know in what country he was picked
Björn Randall is picked of German team and he get new German name
Blair Pugach is picked up of Norway team and get Norway name
just a idea

Doesnt renaming making it more odd? I mean, you sign a contract in RL, move to that country, you get the passport of that country offered, take it, but have to change you name?

I think the best way would be to generate players with their names and flag from different countries the correct way before the draft board filling and then keep them that way.
