That would be about 2/per 32-team league.

It's a game, but it's a simulation too: Superman don't exist, RZA is not Bloodbowl, imo.
And, to return on the original topic, I see the H-W implementation as a good hint to know in wich direction goes the balance between strenght and speed, fundamental when you set the role of a new player.

This would result in the following scenario then:

We "award" H/W to existing players by their hidden caps in speed and strength. This means some managers end up with a 1.5m WR or a 180kg QB...sorry for using metric again.

oh come on ! .... you train players to be WR and then the rules change mid-season in season 4 and your "star WR" is suddenly a DWARF !

Listen, guys .... if Height/Weight works ... then great, I'm for it .... but please explain how it works (in detail), and how to introduce it fairly for existing players .... this is becoming a "joke thread" with suggestions like "bad luck".

W/O height&weight, like now, You still don't know about your dwarf reciver. But he is REAL DWARF, you'll know it at the middle of the 6-th season. (for example)

I like dark-wing ...if Top 100 stadiums is replaced by Top 100 Voted Favourite Managers ...then I'm voting for Dark-wing !

"W/O height&weight, like now, You still don't know about your dwarf reciver." .... I know now that if I've got a WR with 46 speed then he's tall enough for me !

and I also know now that if I've got a WR with 35 speed red-capped then he's a Dwarf !

and I don't need to wait until mid-Season 6 to know that either !

Still assuming that there is a direct relation to speed and strength compared to height and weight.

I'm personally done with this thread. There is nothing more to really say on either side.

This is exactly the same, what I thought after reading page 10 of this thread.

Likewise... but I want to leave with this..

We are talking about athletes on a field. All of us here are sports fans. We KNOW when we are observing guys on the field... before we know who they are.. before they even do anything... in our minds we process that a guy who is 200lbs will be faster than a guy who is 300lbs.. and that 300lb guy will be stronger than that 200lbs guy. Is it 100% the case.. no but it makes sense to us because thats the way it has been proven time and time again.

Now for those like Sfniner who think assuming guys measurables based on H/W is something that isnt logical or practical.. if you hold that same philosophy as a living and breathing human being while watching a sporting event then I hold no candle to you and I fully acknowledge you are a much better human being than I am, cause I'm very prejudicial when it comes guys measureables.

And to those who would feel hurt and if we put in H/W and they find out one of their players wasnt who they thought they were (like the rest of us wouldnt be effected as well)... well atleast you know what she looks like now. We just took off your beer goggles. And it should be her personality you looking for anyway.
