Since I'm Norwegian and we got less than 10 tems teams in our country, I must admit my knowledge about football isn't at the level it should be. I'm still at the stage where I try to understand the quality needed for each position. Formations? I got no clue. So as a start could someone give me a walkthrough of the qualities needed for positions for me plz? Especially the different positions in OL and DL, where I'm clueless.

I would say
OL: Strength, Blocking, Footwork, Positionning
DL: Strength,Tackling, Vision, Footwork (DE - - > Speed)

Thx mate, but I was thinking more of RL. I've just managed to remember who's closest to the O center of the guard and the tackle. Think of me as someone who's never seen this game before, and you've just given me your guide book.
What skills differs between the 3 o-line positions for instance.

Center launches the game so he needs snapping quality and more intelligence...

Best blockers are usually Tackles (with the best on QB weakside where ha cannot see the blitz coming)

And skills in RL are close to those in games!

Guards tend to be smaller/more mobile, Tackles are generally the big, tough blockers. I'm not sure if this affects RZA though.

Thx! But why is more mobility needed as a guard? I would've thought it was the opposite.

From my own experience of playing the game, our guards used to pull along the line to block for outside run plays, or when we ran traps it was using the guard doing the moving, with the tackle holding up the end of the line.

Our most athlectic Oliner always was the Center, and btw he allways was the smartest, cause he had to make the blocking calls at the Line.
