My kicker keeps missing field goals that in the 30-40 yard range. WTH does he have to have skill wise to be successful? Right now he has 17 kicking and 36 strength.

I think his STR is fine. Train Kicking up to 20+....that should help.

In my opinion scoring field goals is a bit random. I saw field goals even longer than 50 yards as well as missed below 30(by some top team kicker). My 1st kicker is already 38str and above 22 in kicking and rarely misses closer than 40, I don't remember him to miss below 35 yards.

There are only two things involved...and based on those two skills there are several ranges set

0-x yards: almost automatic
x-y yards: quite probably
y-z yards: possible fieldgoal
z+...yards: lucky kick..

this is why an average kicker is able to score a 55 yarder from time to time...

I do have a question since you are on here right now. Do you think that it is feasible to have one player be the kicker and punter? I do now and wonder if that is hurting my kicking game.

Could you add intelligence as a factor in kicking? My kicker has 49.7 Int and it seems such a waste with the current settings
