I totally agree with the arguments posted in the thread about this, so my suggestion is as follows:
- Get rid of the transfer market for players. |

yeh get rid of the free agent market nothing else on there really.
teams have a time slot once per season to trade between each other on flagged players, maybe for 30 days after the drafts. should be easier to monitor for abuse anyway. |

Is this a joke? You really want to get rid of the transfer market? If you are serious, why?

This would be a disadvantage for player who enter the game after the transferwindow. They can only develope their starting squad until the end of the season. Now you can buy some FAs who are equal to your starting players and it is possible to train 60 instead of 45 players parallel. |

I just don't like the tm as it is. Not possible to get a decent player if you can't be around when the deadline is. And it makes it a lot easier to cheat. I don't expect the majority too agree with me though.

We need a way of buying/selling/trading/transfering players... - the transfer market is the fairest way I am aware of. - trading however, as suggested in the other thread, is too open to cheating and abuse. |

The only other way I see would be a model based on wages, not transfer fees.
So instead of buying players for money from other managers of "of the market" as free agents, make a bid on the player by rising his wages. The one with the best offer wins the player. There could be additional factors like league status, team status, starting chances, contract length and so on. Managers can only negotiate their own players or bid on the market. If a player is cut or the contract runs out, the players goes to the market pool. But this would totally change the game. |
