Hi,
Is there an Idiots guide to the Playbook anywhere ? I've tried setting it, using the example def/off playbook but I must be doing something wrong as the assistant coach still has 2 Hints outstanding, one about doing the Off playbook, the other about doing the Def playbook. Any further info/basic info about the playbook would be greatly appreciated

you have both playbooks, and tells you you should add a playbook - crazy? Maybe, you did not fill the standard playbook with rules for both offense and defense?

I don't really understand the "playbook" at all (set, check ,add new playbook) etc.
I've got 3 playbooks - Standard, Off-exmple,Def-exmple. But I want more info on how it works and in very simple/basic format. There must be something wrong with my setup but I don't know what it is. |

I think it's OK now, the Hints are down to zero (good !!
).
I copied the Def-exmple and Off-exmple rules to the Standard playbook, that seemed to do the trick. However, if anybody has more info about the playbook (in really simple language for thick people like me !) I'd be keen to read it. Thanks. |

I started with loking at the def playbook, coz it's not so complex imo. Finding a def formation for each off play I guess is a good way to start and understand it. Welcome!

Basically, the engine goes down the list until the situation the game is in matches a play. What I did is figure out what the most unique situation that could happen in the game and worked from there.

I started with 1st down, told it everything I would want it to do on 1st down, in each quarter of the game, then went from there covering every possible situation I could think of, 2nd and short, 2nd and long, 2nd and medium all the good stuff I wanted the offense to do. Not sure if it helps you out or not, but that's what I've done.
