I'm not sure about this strategy of using the drafted players as a foundational knowledge about what skills are used for what players. To a degree yes...

From my draft RBs (all 2.5 stars):

Vision:
14,4
15,8
14,3
12,6

Positioning:
19,4
20,7
16,5
21,4

I think Pos is better to have, for a RB, than Vis.

Well - I can't give all my secrets (wrong or right) away.

I'm treating Vision and Positioning equal for now. I like Turtle's tier a lot - I'd got Speed, Carry, Agility; then Strength, Positioning, Vision. Not sure after that. Catching when the game engine adds passing to RBs.

And I agree - until we see Season 3 draftees (and Admin makes the adjustments he mentioned), it's a bit dangerous to base our build plans on draftees.

ummm... see I always thought Positioning was awareness. Basically being at the right place at the right time or your overall knowing what to do. could be construed with intelligence I guess.. or a combination of the two? All I know is I would figure positioning would be critical for all positions..

just glad I'm not the only headless chicken...

I suppose that you guys see things more complicated than it is. In my opinion only TE and FB have more than 1 primary playskill. Very few players has rating 2 in this positions

It is not that hard.

There are physicals, playskills, and tacticals.

Each position uses at least 1 item out of each group.

Don't underestimate the power of tacticals and physicals.

I've been searching for a Skills guide, and after 5 minutes found this thread (thought that information might be useful to Admin in terms of how easy or hard it is for Rookies to find what they are looking for).

A question though - which of the 'non-physical skills' are play-based, and which are tactical?

Feedback - I think that, given Admin's statement above, it would be valuable to have the skills listed in these three categories, and also valuable to indicate clearly in the manual the statement that 'each position uses at least 1 item out of each group'.

As a Rookie I'm confused as hell as to what I should be training my players in - particularly in terms of the 'non-physical skills'. Knowing that there were 3 categories and I should s e l e c t at least one in each helps me frame my thoughts.

Cheers!

Foo is a bit special, since we did not fully implement it so far. At the moment footwork is a playskill.
