i dont get why HB should need positioning, but not vision.

positioning? cmon, he just puts his lazy ass where the formation asks him to.

vision? hitting the holes, seeing the blockes, looking for cutback possiblities and so on.

Positioning is for the RB not being in the right spot. It is more running the right rout. I think vision could be a minor secondary skill for RBs.

You know, someone could actually find out by trial and error. Train each skill with a coach and each skill without a coach for each position. Would take several people several weeks to accumulate the data necessary to come to a conclusion. Not sure if that would be considered a type of "collusion." lol

To me "positioning" doesn't make sense in football terms, language wise. It seemed artificial in -TOG-as well. In fact, here and -TOG-are the only two sims I've seen that have it.

Agreed with you but here when you read the manual, it's more an "Europen View"... The term is not accurate as it should be something like "running the field"

It's a mix between offensive vision and go to the right spot

so for example, in my opinion WR route running should be mix of footwork and vision, and actually its positioning?

That's it!

Here from the manual:
Positioning is the skill which helps each player to enter his spot on the field or to run his route. It is also important for a defender to determine on which side of the attacker he should participate in the play.
