For what? Own offense against own defense? Different teams against each other?

Should be discussed...Mayb the feature to offer cups is not available if you use YA level less than 4. This would be a nice incentive to build a full YA.

And if this get implemented an option if you would like to do this or not would be nice, Like the HR department

Of course this shouldn't be a mandatory feature.

Is EXP for a player as big a factor in the engine calculations as EXP for a coach?

On a slower rate than senior team players, yes.

I can live with that.

eleminate the youth players from the senior roster

With the suggestion not long ago, that different positions have different retiring ages, like a QB can be 35 years old etc, this would work.

Why is that needed?

This would be really convenient.

Also I'm playing with the idea to let managers choose between managing a youth team or a senior team when they register, but not both. At the end of their "youth career" these players would get drafted by senior teams, so no more randomly generated draftees.
Or be able to have both teams, but YA members would become the draftees, so managers would be trainaing players for everyone not just themselves...what do you think?

You would never have enough to build a full list of drafties.
You would not only need as much teams as senior teams, but even more!

The only problem with this is usually you don't train PC until the player is in the YA. This would take away a lot of training days to get it up close to 100%, and maintain it. In which case a lot of managers wouldn't participate in this youth league/youth-cup.

This could be off set by gaining skill values with playing.
So investing training for PC, play, getting skill values for playing.
Should be a fair trade.

I was going with Buffalo's suggestion that every player <23 yo should be considered a youth player. If you want to eliminate the first 2 years (21 and 22 yo) then we should get it back at some point by adding some years on top of 30.

Well completely replacing the whole draft was kind of an exaggeration on my part. Obviously the missing players would be generated randomly. If no such "college" team exists, then nothing changed to the current random players, but the possibility is still there to manage a youth team.

Is there not something like this in hattrick? If anyone plays it maybe they could give details on what way they do it. I think as long as it is optional and provides some value to the players involved then it's a great idea

Just a small suggestion for the physical condition...how about doubling the values for youth team games? For example, if a player has PC of 40% for these games that is worth 80%

I think it would be too difficult to have enough people with enough youth to really do this.

How about this:

In -TOG-there is the world cup (I think that is what it is called) where players are chosen from teams to make up a roster of that country region to compete against other teams.

How about we have a "world youth cup" but instead of countries it is by the league you are in.

So, each team from the 1.1 dragons offers up two to three players that could be used and the person who volunteers from the dragons league to coach (maybe there would be an assistant coach with them?)chooses which players to use.

The players would have to be in a YA and not be able to leave while competing (if an owner wanted to bring up a player from the YA for their own team they would have to give an advance warning to the coach so they can replace that player). It would be a round robin with an elimination knockout. Doesn't need to be long, could in fact occur during the playoffs and off season.

I thought about such feature a lot and I always found two issues, that don't fit.
1) the amount of managers you would need to have such quality players for the draft. -> you answered that with the easiest solution, filling up the ranks by generated players. But this would degrade the effort managers put in THEIR youth players. Which brings up the second point
2) I manager, who cared and polished his new star player to a valid senior won't like it, having that player play for another team!
So the idea of pooling all players to a draft class does also not respect the effort done by the managers.
