I launched this topic on the Friendly Cup but as I received no insights from other managers, I post it again on the suggestion thread... I just want to know if I can continue with this idea (maybe with some changes) or if it's just a thing to flush down...
That's not really a "Game improvement suggestion" but much more a "community suggestion"... I would like to bring some excitement to the Friendly Cups... So I want to launch a "World Cup System" each season starting season 3... Principle: FIRST ROUND - 8 National/Regional Cups (depending on who is motivated and how we can arrange the groups) of 8 Teams/normal mode SECOND ROUND - A World Cup with the 8 winners of National Cups So I'd like here your thoughts about it and if you're interested in you can register your team on the thread on the Friendly Cup forum... |

if such a world cup means "GI mode", where you elect one manager and give him the duties for a season to collect players across the board... I would like to say: NEVER. But maybe I misunderstood your intention - feel free to tell me "RTFSF" (Read the f***ing stuff first" |

Not at all like the -TOG-system... It's an our team based competition...
For example in the first roundn there would be : 1 Atlantic Europe group 1 Eastern Europe Group 1 N.A. group and so on... and the 8 winners play the World Cup but with our team based on the Friendly Cup system in normal mode... The goal is just to create quite a yearly "big" competition in Friendly Cup in order to motivate more managers to play into it... And my first motivation was seeing the number of national friendly cups playing right now... |

Nope it goes with the credits, without any gain, like a regular Friendly Cup...
But it's only 25 credits a year that you can earn thanks to Facebook, PR or Peter gifts easily... And as the winners will be rewarded by credits, no costs for second round... |

I'll just try to put some "World Cup following" into the news (if you agree). I'm just assuming that people like sometimes to have nationality rivalries (as it's not done with the RZA system).
But I'm not asking for something new, I just try to "exploit" Friendly Cups in a new way to raise the fun around it... |

!whoa... Great idea. But umm.. I think i'm more on par with Pete on this one. Not that I mind spending credits on this idea as I feel its a worthy purchase, Pete's method would be kinda cool too though. I'd take it a step further though. I say make it the official 4th competition of the game but instead of holding it every season.. make it typical WC style in that the actual final tournament would be held every 2 or 3 three season with small regional qualifiers held seldom throughout the cycle.
and just like R/L WC... the strongest regions would get more admissions than weaker regions. Not trying to steal your thunder from the friendly cup come up.. but I'm thinking this is too good a competition to forgo it as the 4th official Cup. Could end up being as prestigious as Champ of Champs... |

Just a hint: qualiofication round means the best of the best proceed, usually the teams that are playing CoC and or Supercup already
