Peter, you had said something about how intelligence would soon factor into kickers and punters. Will intelligence be significant for those positions? I ask because I'm looking for my long term solution at those positions and don't want to plunk down a huge amount of cash for something that won't be significant.

I'm tire of my freaking kicker missing field goals so I need to look for something better. sigh

Missing fieldgoals are depending on KICKING only.

INT will play its role, when we introduce "in the corner punts", things like that...maybe squip kicks, onsiders and such stuff.

I wouldn't rate INT that high..much more it is "nice to have". By INT a k/P won't become "automatic"!

But it's all about beeing precise... So if it should factor the coffins, it should also factor classic field goals (intelligence as a skill of considering the direction and the strength of the wind?).

I can barely see any reason why INT should affect corner punting, and not affect classic field goals.

IMO it is not Intelligence (being smart), it is just the job of the kicker. but to decide punting to the corner, or even oob, is a question of INT. However, I could be wrong here...Any kicker online?

Well, I might be wrong too, but imho its the coach call should it be center, corner or oob

Kicking/punting skill should be responsible for beeing precise and stron in the kick.

But imagine some absolute idiot - he knows perfectly how to make field goal attempt good. But he dont know what wind is (quite retarded guy) and even that he is sooooo cool in kicking, with strong side wind his precis kick would go off the goal.

But... I assume there is no such thing like 'wind' included in this game yet

So maybe we are talkin just about some long-term future?

Thats what I meant, even the niggest sucker would know about the wind effect, since it is part of his kicking education.

Edit: quite hard to judge, this was the reason I kicked such thoughts for the first implementation
