I've been reading the manual (yeah, I know ... always a good thing to do ) and it states that Friendly attendance is (approximately) a maximum of 30,000 plus 10% VIP & Execs.
It also states that Friendlies on playoff days is a max of 45,000 plus 10% VIP & Execs.
so ... my question is .... apart from Friendlies on playoff days, is there any difference in the Friendly revenue for a 140,000 stadium vs a 40,000 stadium (assuming that full 10% Execs & VIP have been built) ??
Thanks.

There isn't. Friday frendlies for example have a cap of 30000+3000+300 = 33300 seats. Attendance is influenced by number of games won, and your PR staff.

Edit: But teams with 140k stadiums usually have a better game record, plus the level 20 PR staff to have max (or even slightly higher) attendance compared to teams with "only" 40k seats.

Pardon if this has nothing to do with the original post but do you make any money on non-friday friendlies? I scheduled one for today, played it, and didn't get any $$$. Any info is appreciated

From the manual:

It is possible to play friendlies on league match game days in the postseason, when you are out of the competition already - or even on bye weeks during the regular season. Those games have a max. attendance of around 45000 seats / 4500 Executives / 450 VIPs! The ticket income is at half ticket prices too, and gets split between both opponents.

Most non-Friday friendlies cost 5 credits, and are for fun only. Your players do not tire or get experience, and there is no income.

When you schedule or accept a friendly, always check to see whether it it says Free or 5 Credits - only Free friendlies generate income.

You have one bye week during the season, and you can schedule a free friendly on that day. (I think you can also schedule them during the playoffs).

During regular season: 1 Game when team is on bye-week - could be tue or sat - (att max around 44.400 - challenge possible 2 days before game)

Postseason and Off-Season: when team is out of league play-offs -> every tue AND sat (att max around 44.400 - challenge possible 2 days before game)

A question of my own:

Aside from friday and league gameday (tuesday & saturday) friendlies, can any other friendly game generate income? Like on supercup playoff days (even if this means spending credits)? Also, are league gameday friendlies free in the postseason?

Friendlies with credits don't generate income...

During your offseason, when you're out of playoffs, tuesday and saturday are free from credits ang generate income... You can challenge 2 days before the day...

However, it doen't work for supercup day

I only want to play Free friendlies, so I always check (always! check!) to see if it will be a "Free" friendly or a "5 Credit" friendly.

Every "Free" friendly generates income (and some experience and a small PC hit).

It's hard for me to think "Free" = "Income", but that's the way it works.
