Not for season 3, this is for sure.

So, surely not for this season too?

my suggestion is just a new filtering system for the draft players to make life easier for everyone and even open up the possibility of having more draftable players than required so there is more choice and at least some players at all positions. it is basically stolen from the way the autodraft used to work on nfl.coms fantasy football ran by CBS a few years ago but slightly modified to make sense and be relevent here.

i have no ability to make what im talking about so i am just going to describe everything as best as i can from a what you will see perspective

firstly when you click on the draft board menu you should come to a page that looks similar to the depth chart page with each position choosable, a complete list option for those that want to use the current system and a draft position order option. the draft position option is basically a an adjustable list that has each position in it 3 times and you can set it to pick draft positions more precisely to how you want to draft. for example you want a OL in round 1 then you want a SF in round 2 but if possible you would like another OL in round 3 which is next to impossible to set up but with my list you can set it to...

OL1
SF1
OL2
...

obviously you arent always going to have an OL left in the 3rd round so you would put the next position you would like and so on. on this page you would need to have a confirm this draft style to switch it on and have the current 1 as standard as this only gives another option its not perfect. the positions when clicked on would bring up all the draftees in that position and have the draft page style as of now but with less players that are easier to manage. does this make sense?

Makes sense. Have yozu read my suggestion?
It's almost similar, but without that wizzard stuff.
I like the wizzard, but I think it is too much to do.

Many apologies for repeating my last suggestion, and I promise it will be for the last time! ..... but I would suggest:

Calculate the Draft order on the end of Season positions. Then have Draft Round 1 in Week 2 of the close Season, Round 2 in Week 3 of the close Season and Round 3 in Week 4 of the close Season

1) The close Season is 5 weeks long. Any Team who has no Playoffs to participate in has NO other positive action to look forward to except Traning/Youth Pull and up to 14 consecutive Friendly Matches - if they want to maximise Revenue. In comparison there are only 16 games in the League and 15 in the Supercup

2) It's the least complicated system for Managers to work. Draft one Player, then have plenty of time to make a decision on what you hope to Draft next.

3) It's definitely the best system for newbies

4) I'm no good at Techie stuff, but I think it would be the easiest system for Pete to implement.

Good suggestion in general for me, but I don't like calculation the Draft order on the end of Season positions, because it's simply unfair. For ex. in our league some teams with record 12-4 will not enter playoff, and other teams with 9-7 will do. So first teams will not have playoff and at the same time will have worse draft order

I like this idea but if my memory is good, and its not, that system would use too much server space.

I play a few AF sims online and the draft is the selling point for the majority of them.

The system we have here rewards preparation. Having your 3 picks set using the dropbox settings rather than screen order should be good enough to ensure we are not wasting draft picks...and its a standard feature here. Others require you to pay

Ah, I'm sorry - I thought it would be possible to calculate Draft Order on Win-Loss record with points difference Tie breaker.....

Sorry, I was just suggesting to try and overcome two minor problems (in my humble opinion) of RZA:
(1) The sheer volume and depth of the game (which I LOVE), but can be overwhelming
(2) the 5 week off-season period which is a long period of not much going on (unless you're very good!) .....

Apologies for being such a technophobe but it might be interesting to note that I don't follow American Football at all - I doubt I could name all the 32(?) teams in the NFL, I'm just a game player and have noticed over my Season and a half here, that the Regular Season can be pretty intense, but the Off-Season relatively quiet.

Sorry for the rant......moving on (to look at my Draft Board!)
