As it stands today there is no problem with new managers coming in and being competitive. But you have to weigh that against four seasons from now and I'd rather address the problems now then face the onslaught of new managers complaining that their in a limbo with a glass ceiling.

Because we've all if not outright said it have alluded to it with every passing thread where any dollar amount about anything is being evaluated.. "Elitism". We try and curve it by having multiple branches where a manager can build his team. The playbook is variably infinite.. the coaching degrees.. HR department.. etc. But nothing to combat economic elitism. And gentlemen.. ANYTHING other than a splash of socialism will do nothing to deter that.

Not saying its perfect but the most competitive model is all of sports anywhere is the NFL.. the least is Euro soccer ( @La Liga).

If your dead set against socialism.. thats fine. But we have to have ideas on how to combat economic elitism in the coming seasons. In a perfect game I would like for a new manager who has the competency and savy that if he comes in by season 5 could be semi-competitive by season 7 (Hint: Manager retention is invaluable). And vice versa.. a manager who has been here from the beginning if they just "coast" can fall off relatively quickly if they dont try to continue to improve or make a series of bad economic decisions. We need that strong balance.

Lets continue with quality ideas how to address this...

This elitism thing should solve by itself, if the new manager is having some patience to catch up. There is a hard coded limit for the income, and you can't cover all expenses by it.

This is the reason I don't see the need for changes on the economy.

by season 5 the early teams will be fully built with well skilled rounded players(if built properly) and wont be able to expand further without making cuts elsewhere so by season 6 the teams that started 1 season later will be in the same place, then its going to be about getting a high talent team trained up fully which can be worked on and achieved by both by the end of season 7 probably

Ok I think I see what you guys mean... Say by season 5 a manager is running at optimum efficiency. That manager running at optimum level cant fully infringe upon a manager still in the building process because by nature that optimum manager doesnt have the capacity to become "bigger".

Meaning a new manager can only get better while the optimum level manager is basically at a plateau.

I'm fine with that. Hopefully all things work out with patience

At least it is that way in the test stage. My team was "unbeatable" since I was the very first manager. Now, few seasons later, I would have to invest a good portion of time to bring my team back on track, to be competitive.

You will need it, if you decide to stay competitive! That's for sure
