8:40 2 and 9 to go on own 39, Harley Milburn (OC) snaps the ball to Carson Ashcraft (QB), Orlando Underwood (HB/L) gets the ball, this seems to be a run over the left tackle, Muris Kneževic (DE/R) breaks through, the well blocked Defense Line can't do anything against, Orlando Underwood (HB/L) tackled by Paviæ Raskovic (MLB), forward progress: 7 yards (Wishbone vs. 4-3-4)

I'm confused by this, if the HB is running over the OT/L and the DE/R breaks through...shouldn't get tackle the HB? Or is that trumped by the Defensive Line being disabled? Or if the DE break through - - that's only good on a pass play trying to sack the QB?

7:02 1 and 10 to go on opp 31, Harley Milburn (OC) snaps the ball to Carson Ashcraft (QB), who hands off to Hung Beauregard (HB/C), he starts running over the left end, Muris Kneževic (DE/R) breaks through, and gets tackled by Todor Antic (SS/R), forward progress: 14 yards, New first down (I-formation vs. 4-3-4)

Running over the left end - - is this the same as running over the left tackle, the tight end (but there is not TE on the left in the I-formation) or is this implying a sweep to the outside (on the left)?

Running over the left end means "outer left"....while "over the left tackle" is somehow "middle left"

Okay, so one is a sweep left versus off-tackle.

It might be a good time to address some of the terminology used in the reports?

How hard would it be to edit the text involved?

Any way they can be sorted as text files and done by willing helpers?

No. Much more the helpers have to translate it stage by stage...

It has to be A runs over the middle, gets tackles by B

It can never be B tackled A, on his try to run through the middle...

Because the rush is one stage, and the tackle is another one...

This is why it is hard to accept help

Hey Pete,

Can you provide some comments what's going on in the first instance?

Thanks,

Steve

The very first? The Center snaps the ball. Probably not what you mean!

I'm still a little confused as to what's happening in this scenario:

Thanks,
