fb not in rushing play and rb never block Well, i have seen fb and te block in rush-plays when a dl,lb and/or sf goes for a bliz/break throu example: 14:24 2 and 9 to go on own 20, Edgardo Woodward (OC) snaps the ball to Artem Gryniv (QB), who hands off to Willis Vinson (HB/C), this seems to be a run over the right tackle, Jim Aronsson (DE/L) breaks through, Long Io (TE/R) blocks, Willis Vinson (HB/C) tackled by Helle Oleszczuk (MLB), forward progress: 7 yards (Big I formation vs. 3-4-4) You're right, I forgot about blitz But that is just for TE, dont think i have seen a FB block on rush.. cant remember. |

Ok now on defense. Lets say I want my strongest guy to play NT when NT is an option but also want him as a DT during formations when NT isn't an option. If I put him 1st on NT and 1st on DT, then on a play that has NT will he play NT and the next DT on the depth chart slides up?

Nope on a 5-X-X defense the NT is the last pick so the guy would stay as a DL... So there is no way to have your best DT play DT and NT consistently...

Thanks. I'm going to get deeper into the intricacies of this whole thing this season coming up. It CAN become much more complex if you start scouting upcoming teams to see tendencies and then move your depthchart around to match them. It takes A LOT of time to do right now.

Ok, last question...
For direction of play... Left flank= Left of TE or furthest tackle? Left and Middle= Center to the TE? Middle= Guard to Guard? Right and Middle=Center to TE? Right Flank=Right of TE or furthest tackle? For rushing that makes sense to me, for passing it seems too specific almost. For passing plays it would make sense to have left, middle, right. Please tell me if I have this completely wrong... Thank you very much. I looked through the Manual and didn't find anything about this. |

If i have say,
I formation, shotgun 2 wr, and wishbone, all setup with the first down, any yards, will the game engine just pick one of those three at random, or will it always go for the first one? |
