One of the odd things about this game is the fact that the game engine drives you to set allplayers to rotate in and out of the game, based on their Physical Condition (PC).

I know you can set the game so that this only happens at a certain trigger point, and that you can 'lock' certain positons. However the current PC/fatigue game mechanism - including this ability to over-ride substitutions - does not makes sense for the QB because either you have to substitute him, or his play gets worse.

- QB (along with Kicker/Punter) is the one cast iron position that teams don't substitute during a game

- Games (perhaps tonight's superbowl) are filling with stats about 'great 4th quarter QBs' and 'great comeback QBs'. One measure of the best QBs is that they play their best at the end of the game.

The main driver of QB 'fatigue' in real life it hits/sacks.

Could the QB PC stat be reset so that they don't fatigue at all, or else so that they only fatigue when they have been hit?

A proxy for this (given that sacks seem quite rare) is that maybe they only fatigue on incompletions (as an incompletion could carry the implicit notion that they have been hurried or hit).

yup this is my biggest problem with the game and FB and OL very rarely get substituted either and with no stamina skill to lower the effects of the energy hit we will never be able to have players that can play properly almost a whole game or awhole game for those positions. and as the rest of the game is so good it really stands out and frustrates me

Hmmm, the players I have listed as OL all get substituted and each plays about the same number of plays. For exammple, my punter and my kicker are at the bottom of my OL depth chart and they get in on as many plays as my starters. (Of course, next season I won't play them at OL anymore, so I don't know why they are still on the depth chart.)

I also didn't notice anything different wirh regard to FBs.

I'm for the suggestion. But I s e l e c t that my QB never gets subbed no matter what PC and I've noticed on games that I do that he doesnt get subbed and doesnt have any noticable PC hit either...

but i'm for the suggestion

A litte UP to this thread, I think the energy of the QB should not decrease so much to make necessary a substitution...

not on the public one.

Season 3 focus is not on engine related changes of things that are working as they are. Much more we will focus on things that are not working, that are annoying users...examples are Layout, usability and so on. Others are permanent checks of the Coaches thing, and the preparing of some more nice additions.

OK, you can claim fatigue for QB is not working as expected...would be wrong. Maybe it is not as it is in RL, but it is working as expected.

We will collect ideas for engine related changes and see, what the big picture tells.

I hope you get the idea behind.

If I may make a suggestion, I think what should be done is that stamina drains faster at certain position that others. In real football, certain players are almost never given of rest, while others are substituted quite heavily.

Example, QB, Kickers, Punters are never substituted. D-Linemen are rotated constantly - - some play only 50% of the defensive snaps.

If QB's stamina drained slowly (relative to other positions), than I think you'd probably resolve the issue.

It is different already, but not per position. It is different per game situation
