Allows you to build a overhead dome option for your stadium. It could effect player performance during game days. This has also got me thinking about weather conditions during games like snow, rain, heat, and wind effecting game play. Maybe these effects could either improve or decrease player's skills, in a very small way. Not entirely sure. Just an idea. Any input?

According to the analysts, bad footing (Rain, ice, snow) helps the offense (they know where they are going and may slip less than defenders trying to adjust directions.).
From my experience cold affects everyone. bigger PC hit?
Wind messes with passing, the effect increasing with pass distance. Wind affects the kicking game, although I'm not sure we want to try and simulate which direction the wind is coming from.
Heat is definitely a big hit to PC.

So Hot and Cold are easiest to work into the game, as increased hits to everyone's PC. Might be a good place to start.

For the weather: I was not able to find a free to use weather forecast service that is providing at least temperature, rain possibility and cloud conditions.

But do you need that?
I mean, a season here is much shorter, that in real life, so what does real weather forecast has to do with the games here?

Wouldn't it be better to make a list for each country with temperature, wind and so on?

Yes, but where to get it from?

Well, maybe by the community?

Possible would be
- research on the internet, veryfied by a second user for all countries
- local managers only doing their own weather, rest as option 1
- admin does it all.

But the main question should be: how much data do you need?
This topic can be as complex as rocket science, too.
So dear Mr. Peter von Braun, any models in your head already?

Basically:

per month: temperature range, rain possibility, cloud types, disaster forecast (Tornado chance 50%). So we could add some randomness, and simulatre a weather forecast by this. But what to do with countries like Russia or USA? Too big for only one forecast

What do you thing about simulating the weather for each RZA-region?

You can simulate the type of weather: sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snow, thunderstorm

As a factor for the type you can simulate the temperature: You can start with a temperature of around 0°C now and every day the temperature go with a random factor up or down. From March till September the factor for up is higher than for down and from october till february vice versa.

And vice versa for northern/southern hemisphere - we are playing an international game

Nice idea.
This could be mixed with some country speciafic stuff, like hurricanes, typhoons, tornados and so on.

But on the other hand, what does the engine do, if hurricans Gaylord is coming to Florida and some Florida games have to be played? Postponing them?

So maybe just wind, rain/snow, sun, clouds, moisture and temperature would be enough?
