I would rather see random weather conditions. Since the scores in the Supercup could be the difference between making the playoffs or not, teams playing in regions with better weather would have an advantage.

That's true. Maybe we all should relocate to the Seychelles?

What do you thing about simulating the weather for each RZA-region?

You can simulate the type of weather: sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snow, thunderstorm

As a factor for the type you can simulate the temperature: You can start with a temperature of around 0°C now and every day the temperature go with a random factor up or down. From March till September the factor for up is higher than for down and from october till february vice versa.

Nice idea.
This could be mixed with some country speciafic stuff, like hurricanes, typhoons, tornados and so on.

But on the other hand, what does the engine do, if hurricans Gaylord is coming to Florida and some Florida games have to be played? Postponing them?

So maybe just wind, rain/snow, sun, clouds, moisture and temperature would be enough?

Why Florida? I'm talking not about real regions like Europe or Northamerica. I talk about simulating the weather for Galaxy, Admirals and so on.

Starting all at the same temperature, with random factor the weather develope in all regions similar, but always different.

Depending on the temperature you could detemine if it's snowing, raining or the sun is shining. At a range of -5°C to +5°C the likelihood for snow is high, but above 5°C it is =0.

The temperature development could be like this:

"warming season"

2,5% -3°C
5% -2°C
10% -1°C
40% no change
25% +1°C
10% +2°C
5% +3°C
2,5% +4°C

With northern and southern hemisphere it is a small problem. Most users live on the nothern, so we could simulate the RZA-world under north hemisphere conditions.

Another problem with the temperature could be the unit °C or °F.

Fairest way is to have same odds for weather for all teams.

Or have a gaia effect - everyone plays with the same weather condition. When it rains, it rains Everywhere!

I agree, it's only fair that the randomness of the weather patterns isn't effected by region so it's fair for everyone.

(I find it interesting that this topic is poorly rated but is still being discussed lol)

If any of these would come up in real life, the games would be postponed.

I agree with Lee
If this happens to come about, then this seems like the fairest for all.

Going back to my 'Dome Stadium' idea, this could be a build option to negate weather patterns and run a flawless game. It should also be pricey and you should have to have a certain amount of seats before the dome would even be an option.

I was also thinking that playing in certain weather conditions for an extended period of time could increase/ decrease stats. Like the more northern teams (packers, bears) constantly play in winter and cold conditions and thus far have been known to perform better under those weather circumstances than say a team from Jacksonville.

Secondly, at team that lives in a domed stadium wouldn't receive this 'weather conditioning' as a cost of having a more extravagant home field (like the Saints). This would lead to a team of dome-babbys, but would attract more ticket buyers.

again, lets hear some input! Brainstorming is a great tool for developement.

Generaly I like this idea. How the weather would affect the game play, and how the dome option would cancel out these effects.

But I think it would overly complicate things if players from different regions would react differently to these effects. Weather shouldn't lower stats, more like influence the outcome of a successful pass in wind, or the blocking/tackling in rain etc. equally for every team.

I like everything said by Aunshova for the dome. Also I think beside it being really pricey, it should have a high maintenance fee as well.
