CBL/CBL2(Dime)/CBL3(Quarter)/DEL/DTL/DTR/DER/CBR1(Nickel)/CBR/FSR/SSL The Quarter-formation is a 3-1-7 with a SSR instead of the CBl3. THis are typical last minute defenses against Hail Mary passes. |

Typical all Nickel Dime and Quarter are cornerback positions, but lately in the NLF due to the lack of premire corners and a lot of Corners switching to safties, teams use their best players at the later spots. In the playbooks I read all positions are CBs but when I look at NFL Filmtape I see lately more Safties as Dime and Quaters. But then they usually line up deeper as a corner would do. |

The questions is: How variable is the position of the CB on the field? Is it nearly the same in every formation or could he be lined up deeper like a FS. |

The questions is: How variable is the position of the CB on the field? Is it nearly the same in every formation or could he be lined up deeper like a FS. ok this is a quiet complex question, because you have a lot of diffrent CB line-ups and they could theoretically line up deeper than they normally would when they expect a deep pass in a desperate situation with 5WR. But to keep it simple: I´ve choosen to take the 5CBs basically because in a game like this or madden people would try to use the 5WR sets to their advantage and would pass not only deep in desperate situations. I see a lot of trick plays were you have 3 and 1-3 and use a 5WR set to pass only short or middle to get to the first down. It would harm the defense if we had Safties at the corner who would start deeper and therefore wouldn´t be there to cover WR3/4/5 inside 10 yards. That´s the main reason why I would go with 5 CBs instead of a more likely version in like in reallife were LBs or Safties can take a spot a CB would normally have. |

This must be a mistake. Singel Wing has 2 HB on the right side. For what? It is not allowed. Shotgun 5 WR. The maximum for WR are 2 per side. Empty Backfield. The minimum in the Backfield is one FB or HB I would like to see the Strong-I: TEL/OTL/OGL/OC/OGR/OTR/TER/QB/FBR/WRR/HBC |
