I guess you can understand the frustration though, I've placed bids on most of the 'big' players that have appeared in recent weeks, but have no yet even signed one - because I've never been online at deadline time.....

This is mostly due to either being asleep (deadline at 5am!), or at work (I often work 5 evenings a week with no internet access).

Now if people could list them with a deadline around 2pm-5pm I would be very happy

Trading Block sounds nice, but its hard to programming i think. Because 2 managers must work out a fair trade for both sides and i think it is impossible.

At the moment ther is no better TM then the current.

Don't worry. You need no big player to be competitive in our league. Only Grzymisław bought to big players, but their influence as kicker and CB is not big so far.

One more thing... why not the Ebay system?

Halfway between blind bidding and what we have now... you can see the current highest bid, but not the bidder's maximum offer. Bids can be placed at any time, and must be a certain % above the current bid in order to take the lead.

Imho it should be anything that does not require someone to online at an exact time.

Yes, this is due to my own circumstances - father of 2, 2 jobs, busy life with multiple committments - I can be online often, though commonly only for short bursts, and I can rarely predict exactly when I can be online. 'Jon can you help Holly with her homework', 'Jon can you drive me to the shops', etc etc

It favors rich teams, as far as I remember

Any market based system favours the wealthy.... that is unavoidable unless you switch to a system of purely trades/draft/training.

Right now we have a system which favours the geeky no-lifers with money - at least with the proposed change, those of us with some life get a chance (not a lot..just some )

BS

I have 3 daughters, a wife who always has something for me to do. I'm a teacher (5th grade), I go to school working on my masters degree. I am on the parish council for my church, I teach religious education on the weekends, I coach youth sports, and I do try to sleep at times.

It is merely an EXCUSE is someone says they "can't get online" in todays tech world.

Absolute Hogwash.

Due to my work hours, I sleep roughly 1am to 8am most days - so any between those time are impossible. I do not wish to get a divorce, so I will not be setting my alarm for 5.30am for those 3 top players on the market at the moment. And the one I've pushed the bidding up to 35m for, I'm hoping to be home from my kids judo lesson at about 13.00, but they have a party at 14.00, and they will need to be fed 1st.........

I work as an IT technician in a school every morning - 'excuse me kids while I log into an online game in front of you in the classroom' - I get a few opportunities to be online in the mornings when the kids are out on trips - this morning for example, or I am in our office, but they are only for short periods - 'sorry Mrs Maths Teacher, I can't come sort your printer out now, I'm bidding on a player'. Oh and I also have to bypass the online filters to get to any gaming websites, so if my boss is onsite, no chance.

And in the evenings, I am a compere - I host quiz nights 5-6 evenings a week - in pubs and clubs - with an audience in front of me.

I guess my work situation is very different from most. I can be online for 3-4 hours every afternoon - that's why I joined the Sea Devils as the game time fitted my strange work schedule.

I don't have a smartphone, my only internet access is through a hard wired PC.

So try getting online when you are in a pub, 15 miles from your PC, with 80 people listening to what you are saying.............
