This it is my punter from Q1 and Q4 of my friendly today. My punter really sucks (punting skill < 10) and has low PC, not sure about the kick returner.
I find it odd, that he'd punt backwards in Q4. And even stranger that backwards punts have negative returns?? I think (except maybe in rare occasions), a punt should never be negative. Data below: Steve SD Blitz - - - - - Game ID: 104112 Match with strange Q4 punting Q1 12:26 Angiolo Alessi (P) punts the ball from own 38 for 17, Bobbie Vanmeter (KR/R) is returning the ball, gets tackled by Quintin Doan (G/L), this was a 12 yards return 8:35 Angiolo Alessi (P) punts the ball from own 44 for 17, Bobbie Vanmeter (KR/R) is returning the ball, gets tackled by Quintin Doan (G/L), this was a 11 yards return Q4 9:07 Angiolo Alessi (P) punts the ball from own 29 for -3, Bobbie Vanmeter (KR/R) is returning the ball, gets tackled by Quintin Doan (G/L), this was a -4 yards return 6:14 Angiolo Alessi (P) punts the ball from own 41 for -8, Bobbie Vanmeter (KR/R) is returning the ball, gets tackled by Quintin Doan (G/L), this was a -9 yards return 0:52 Angiolo Alessi (P) punts the ball from opp 47 for -5, Bobbie Vanmeter (KR/R) is returning the ball, gets tackled by Quintin Doan (G/L), this was a -6 yards return |

I think it impossible to punt behind. But I don't know, maybe for so bad player it's possible here...
For me never happened, but at the very beginning punter had about 15 punting, now above 20. But kick returns were -3 etc. It's clear bug(or you had a spy in opposite team). Last edited on 2012-02-17 21:01:42 by Grzymisław |

I had backward punts too in friendlys (since AC activated). Tended to think that was the effect of the lack of Special Team AC (and very bad punter)... Althoug the grandmother of a very bad punter could do a better punt

Funny. I was the team you were playing. I noticed the backwards punts too and the only thing I could think of was that you had a terrible punter. My KR is nothing special, about an average player that has been trained for one season.

First check:
Really really poor punting skills, combined with very low "bonus" out of Coaches results in kicking of 2 or 3 yards, and due the 7 yards offset this results in a minus record. this is just a flaw in the forumula. The negative returning is a followup, since the engine does not expect a negative punting yardage... I will check for a solution. |

There is spome randomness in, and it seems there was something like a poor punt of 4 yards, and 5 yards minus due randomness...something like that |
