Write a new topic in the bug forum, so that the Admin could check, if there was a bug or not.

This is no bug from my point of view.
When round 1 is done, all players marked with round 1 are treated as no round marked players.
Then, if no player is marked round 2, the engine picks the highest sorted player.

Than this feature is missleading and in one point useless.

I'm with Nogard. If I want a QB, than I s e l e c t for all QB "1 round". If there is a QB in the first round avaiable i get one and no one in the other rounds.
I don't want to s e l e c t "round 2 and 3" for all other player, to get no additional QB, because I can't get than 2 players with the tag "round 2". If I give the tag "round 2" to all players i could get in round 3 players from round 1 (QB) and 2 (all others).

Just put your QBs on bottom pof the board, and set them for round 1...

So, if I'm reading this correctly the draft procedure for the computer is to look for the highest rated player that is designated as Round 1, and failing the Round 1 check it will pick the highest rated player on your draft board?

What happens in the 2nd round? Obviously, this #2 QB wasn't taken by anyone else in the 1st round so he was still available. When the computer looks for its next draft pick, wouldn't it try and pick the highest rated player that is designated to be drafted in Round 1? Then Round 2? Then Any Round?

Or does the round designation drop down box basically mean pick this player only in round 1 and then if he's still available in round 2, it goes by the list of players rather than the fact that you had a 1st round rated player available.

You have player A B C D E F on the board

You want 1 out of A B, in round 1, one out of CD in round 2

E any round
F any round
C round 2
D round 2
A round 1
B round 1

The engine goes and check for "1st round", if this doesnt work it check overall, from top to bottom. So it would try to pick A, B, E, F, C, D

The engine goes and check for the 2nd round, it would check
C D E F C D A B

The 3rd round pick is
E F C D A B

Clear?

Any round might be a bit misleading, should be "no dedicated round" or something similar - any native speakers here

I find

Round 1
Round 2
Round 3

misleading

Since it suggest that "only" in this round the player could be drafted

Make it "earliest round 1" and so on - then i hope people might understand

earliest round 1 can also lead to pick in round 2 or even round 3

Earliest round deosnt tell "round 2" is prefered over "round 1" when round 2 is active

Ok - this round goes to you!

So the only thing that helps is - prepare to run away: reprogramm the whole system since more and more users joining the game.

TBH: I don't see the need for now, since it does what it should. I think we have more important things for the moment. I would like to focus, but of course if there is someone coming up with a better description for the "round" settings....

Yes, definitely. That explanation above needs to be in the Manual as well as the Off Season and For Dummies pages.

It makes sense now, but I can't think of a way to change the drop down to make it easy if you haven't seen that example above.
